The Ghost

As I laid asleep, I heard a noise, woke up & met a ghost
I told him my tomorrow sorrows, then he leaned close
and said "blackness is blue", and that noise I have made
You can create with a simple thought, toward the poisonous gray
I wished him away, but the more I strayed, he engulfed my soul
I became him, I changed then... it's as if I was devoured whole

What I saw... black castles, dark horses, armed by hell
A cloud of ash suffocates the illusion of a community, I fell
Into the street... I met a man who said he "Understands"
I payed him my last dollars and he went off into a foreign land
He gave me a piece of bread and told me he'd return in golden carriage
I met a girl who told me she loved me, dreamt the clouds of marriage
that perished when she return with her demons, and mask
We can change every part of ourselves but the past is still the past..

The past is still the past... I dug deeper. Deeper then I had ever been
Down to the lowest depths into the wooden arms and broken hearts of men
I saw my cancer take every single part of who I am
I saw... a death, I died 3 years ago... never to become a man
I saw loneliness, I saw a fool with a claw, trying to strike
I saw his all, fall.. then a blank page fell, completely white

What laid beside me, a weapon w/ black blood
A heart, broken, but still, is it truly broken if you still love?
I struck the paper, then a portal emerged
They tempted me with women, cash, to stay submerged
To stay in a desert below the earth, even though it hurt
To watch them go, if your heart won't follow, what's it's worth?

And I woke up... No ghost, no city defeated.
No happy ending if not only in my dreams, I believed it
I believed in me, and who I was, who I could never forget
Stays with me, until I follow the darkest of depths
The past is still the past, even though it's burdensome
It remains in my heart, so when I forgive myself, I can truly.. become.

A list of some observation...

A list of some observation. In a corner, it's warm.

A glance leaves an imprint on anything it's dwelt on.

Water is glass's most public form.

Man is more frightening than its skeleton.

A nowhere winter evening with wine. A black

porch resists an osier's stiff assaults.

Fixed on an elbow, the body bulks

like a glacier's debris, a moraine of sorts.

A millennium hence, they'll no doubt expose

a fossil bivalve propped behind this gauze

cloth, with the print of lips under the print of fringe,

mumbling "Good night" to a window hinge.

A Song

I wish you were here, dear,

I wish you were here.

I wish you sat on the sofa

and I sat near.

the handkerchief could be yours,

the tear could be mine, chin-bound.

Though it could be, of course,

the other way around.

I wish you were here, dear,

I wish you were here.

I wish we were in my car,

and you'd shift the gear.

we'd find ourselves elsewhere,

on an unknown shore.

Or else we'd repair

To where we've been before.

I wish you were here, dear,

I wish you were here.

I wish I knew no astronomy

when stars appear,

when the moon skims the water

that sighs and shifts in its slumber.

I wish it were still a quarter

to dial your number.

I wish you were here, dear,

in this hemisphere,

as I sit on the porch

sipping a beer.

It's evening, the sun is setting;

boys shout and gulls are crying.

What's the point of forgetting

If it's followed by dying?

Belfast Tune

Here's a girl from a dangerous town

She crops her dark hair short

so that less of her has to frown

             when someone gets hurt.

She folds her memories like a parachute.

             Dropped, she collects the peat

and cooks her veggies at home: they shoot

             here where they eat.

Ah, there's more sky in these parts than, say,

             ground. Hence her voice's pitch,

and her stare stains your retina like a gray

             bulb when you switch

      hemispheres, and her knee-length quilt

skirt's cut to catch the squall,

I dream of her either loved or killed

             because the town's too small.

Flea, however, took advantage of the Chili Peppers’ two-year break after Stadium Arcadium, working on other artists’ tours and records and cutting solo material at his own studio in the Silverlake area of L.A. In 2010, he played bass in Radiohead singer Thom Yorke’s offshoot band Atoms for Peace, doing shows and playing on a forthcoming studio album.

Thom Yorke and Atoms For Peace Live at Coachella (4/18/10)

Yorke’s set was, not surprisingly, a consistently inventive and lovely barrage genre-bending rock and electronica, as Atoms for Peace ran through the entirety of Yorke’s 2006 solo disc The Eraser, as well as a handfull of Radiohead tunes, new material ("Judge, Jury, and Executioner" and a new piano rendition of "Everything in its Right Place")  and rarities.  Excellent stuff, and far better than the tepid Gorillaz set that began soon after. Enjoy Guys!

Wholesale T Shirt Buying Guide

Wholesale T Shirt Buying Guide

Buying wholesale fashion shirts could be a logical action step for you to take. Fortunately, there are currently numerous wholesalers around that are offering a variety of fashion shirts for you to choose from. It would not be hard to find and transact with any of those businesses. Are you looking for wholesale clothes that are popular all year round? Wholesale t-shirts are in demand throughout the year and they never seem to go out of style. They are casual and you can wear them almost everywhere. T-shirts have been the favourites of men since the time when professionalism got a relation with the shirts. Shirts are desired by the men who go to meetings and who are related to the professional world. Most wholesale tee shirt printing firms charge higher on certain brand shirts. You would assume being a blank shirt that it wouldn't matter but it makes more of a difference than you can imagine. The wholesale t-shirts that I promote, between you and me, are not that special. It is true that I have some custom printed t-shirts which might be pretty clever and weird, however they aren't all that remarkable.

crazy shirts funny shirts

What I've been able to do, nevertheless, is to capture an area niche. There are many options for shopping but when it comes to buying branded polo shirts and that too in bulk then you need to explore new methods and new options. However, the alternative most often you opt for is to purchase wholesale polo shirts. Wholesale t-shirts' low prices can be explained by the basic economic principles of demand and supply. Since the demand is very high and the supply is likewise high the price tends to go down. The buyer can save more but the seller will not lose money because of the volume of products sold. The best way to shop for appealing wholesale T-shirts is to look at the various offerings which are available for you. From these you will be able to narrow down the ones you want and the ones you would prefer to buy another time. Another basic advantage of buying plus-size wholesale ladies shirts would be the quality and standard of the items sold. Usually, products sold under wholesale promotional campaigns are of the highest quality and are literally good. In the case of plus size shirts, the same goes. Before acquiring anything wholesale you need to check out the prices of everyone that offers that option.

cheap shirts custom shirts striped shirt

Especially for tee shirt printing as it is in popular demand these days. The brand of the shirt does never mean you have access to a great quality tee shirt. As one of the three coaches we like to have our shirts embroidered. We have decided that we want polo t-shirts with coaches embroidered on the front with the logo under that. I was so surprised that we had that option. By having huge success from your own designed shirts, you can take big orders. There are many people, who like to take immediate designs in bulk because they are very used to of getting creative designs on t shirts. Printing wholesales t-shirts has always been a fairly simple process. In fact, the most popular method of printing, screen printing, has been around for nearly two thousand years. Putting to use cheap wholesale t-shirts in progressing your business can make a huge difference in getting noticed by your intended market. Broadcasting a business can be challenging especially if you do not have sufficient means for pushing your business to the public.

FORTY-SIX

she followed me home from that crap crichton film.

(i had hurt her several years earlier.  she was younger.  i was doing the right thing.  but still.  it was hard.  on my bday no less.  but.  these are the decisions we sometimes make.)

i parked the car in the little gravel lot and went inside.  two minutes later there was a knock at the door.  and there she was. standing in my doorway. with a little smile, a little wave, and a little "hi."

(it's not like we didn't see each other.  we did.  for a while.  but then.  well.  we were pulled in new directions. which was kind of the point in the first place.  to be pulled in new directions.  or at least go if we wanted.)

punched in the gut i was.  it had been some time since i had seen her.  it was the summer before i moved away.  never to really return.  and it was after.  well:  done unto me as i done unto her.

(she was my first.  not that first.  the better kind of first.)

she said she saw me downtown.  had been thinking about me, decided to surprise.  and surprise she did. wanted to come in.  wanted to talk.  of course...

(i don't know if i'd been thinking about her.  years later i was.   i lost track of her for many many years.  heard vague things.  nothing concrete.  found her eventually.  sent the e off, got a reply- vague, travelled, distant.  a touch mysterious.  i replied in kind.  then nothing.  nothing at all.)

i introduced her to my roommate who kindly excused himself.  she looked good.  but like a kid sister. not a. we talked a bit.  her in the chair in the corner.  me on the couch.  comfortable.distance.  weird - her in my "apartment." out of place.  we weren't at that stage back then.  of having apartments.  all finished basements and backseats and curfews.  she was relaxed.  i wasn't.  nervous. as i was generally. (and probably still am.) she asked - shall we go for a drive. out to the lake.  and then i started getting more nervous.

(after saying "sure" in as "whatever" kind of way possible.  i excused myself to the bathroom where i prompty puked.)

we got in her car.  the accord.  she had pulled up and parked right behind my car.  her front nestling against my back.  and we drove out in the darkness to the lake on the other edge of town.

(it should be obvious by now - this is something we sometimes did.  not just this lake but many.  in town or out in the country.  drive out and park.  in fact.  it's where it all ended.  by a lake.  out of town though.  not the one we were headed to.)

we parked and went off for a walk on the dam.  i think i smoked.

(i did that then.  but not before.  not around her.  oh no.)

which was awful but i was so jangly.  nervy.  we walked the length and walked the length back.  talked and talked.  where were we going.  what was this.

(i probably knew but  didn't.)

we drove back to the apartment.  it was late now and talked more.  she talked of her boyfriend.  we talked of the gift he gave her.

(we had a thing.  started on our 6 month.  i gave her a bead for every month together.  she loved it.  she loved the necklace it became.

she earlier told me that winter while on an out-of-town trip, it snapped in the snow. shear panic had set in and she plunged in trying to get them all.  she couldn't.  some months were gone.  she could tell you which bead was what month.  thought she didn't tell me which months were lost.)

a waterford crystal clock.  that's what he gave her.  a college freshman giving another college freshman a waterford clock as a present.  and she looked at me when she said it.  she looked right into me.

and then it was clear why she was there.  and i think i wanted to.  i think i did.  but i didn't.  i couldn't.  i was going.  she was...going.  somewhere.  somewhere she probably didn't want to go.

and she left.  and i watched her go.  watched her get into the blue accord.  and drove off.  never to see her again.

a story about trees----at least a part of it

Suddenly I found myself in the middle of the woods. I was lost and finally realized I had been for the last 30 minutes. Still, I kept on going, deeper I presumed, into the field of trees. The longer I kept running, the darker everything seemed to get. Maybe it was because the sun was going down or maybe because the trees were closer together here than earlier. I had no idea and of course it was the least of my concerns but it still stayed on my mind for the next few minutes. At this point I had been running so long I didn’t even hear my own footsteps trying to catch up with me anymore. I felt my face getting paler, energy leaving my body . It was only then I got a hold of myself and stopped running. I had been running for so long and I realized that if I wanted to stay ahead(and away) I would have to keep a steady pace and I wouldn’t be able to do so if I drained all my energy right away. I had managed to get away quite early and that gave me a lead on them.

Slower but just as determined, I passed by countless of trees. I couldn’t make out what kind they were, but again, that was not something I could afford worrying about.  Still, I could not help studying them as I passed them by. They all looked so much alike and at first I had thought that was the case for every bunch of trees in every forest in the world. But after a while I started to spot more and more similarities. Every tree had the exact same number of branches. Seven long ones and two smaller ones on each of those. As I studied them more closely I realized they were all exactly the same size on every tree.  Of course I concluded this was nonsense and it made me worry about being dehydrated. I took a few looks around me, listened closely for any sound of life and when the coast was clear I sat down next to one of the trees.

At first I tried looking for a place in the shade but then I realized there was no sunlight coming trough at all anymore . I wondered how I hadn’t noticed that earlier but I couldn’t find an answer. As I was resting for just a bit(I could not afford to linger for more than just a minute or two) I examined the tree next to me while drinking the last few drops of water from my plastic water bottle. The tree was large, wide and firm. As was every other tree I had seen since I entered the forest. I looked at it from top to bottom and then moved around it. In the middle of the backside of the tree, at exactly my height,  there was a shaky X carved into the thick bark. Somehow it seemed familiar. Very familiar. So familiar it made my mind go crazy. I ran to the next tree and saw the same X carved into that one too. Then I ran back two trees and also found the shaky X there. I looked at all the countless of trees around me and then it just hit me: all the trees had an X carved into them right in the middle! These trees were not just identical, they were all the exact same tree!
I almost went crazy. Was I actually losing my mind or was this forest just filled with this one tree? I tried convincing myself that would have been impossible but what other explanation was there? Had someone been carving the exact same shaky X into every goddamn tree in this forest at the exact same position? That would have taken ages! There were just too many trees for that to be doable.  Not even an army of bark carvers would have been able to pull that off.

I still do not know why but the first thing that came into my mind next was to keep on running. Somehow I tried to run away from all of it, but I soon realized it was impossible:  every time I passed the tree, it was waiting for me just two feet away. It felt as if ‘they’ had finally caught up with me and now had me surrounded. But ‘they’ were nowhere to be seen, the only thing I could see was this fucking tree repeated all around me! I sat down again and covered my eyes. I tried to think but I could not think straight for more than a second. And I must have opened my eyes a thousand times hoping to see at least three different trees right away but every time I looked, the same tree stared at my from a thousand points around me. I closed my eyes yet again and wished for this nightmare to end.
