Radiohead, obviously, and um....I like Deerhoof a lot. I've been liking a lot of Brazilian music lately, particularly Gilberto Gil. Autechre is fantastic, especially Confield and later. Belle and Sebastian are nice when it's sunny and cool outside. The Faint makes me smile, especially when I have a few drinks in me. I've been known to smoke a bit and listen to Nine Inch Nails with headphones on, too. I like all kinds of music, I suppose, as long as it doesn't sound like it's trying too hard to sell me something.

Favourite books

My absolute favorite book, which gets me a few weird looks from certain sorts of people, is John Irving's "The World According to Garp." I think it really captures something about being alive. I can't quite put my finger on what that is, though.... I've also recently enjoyed Miranda July's collection of short stories, "No One Belongs Here More Than You." I'm a fan of "The Awakening," by Kate Chopin. I like to read Stephen King, although I'll admit his stuff can be rather hit-or-miss. I love James Joyce's writing, although, oddly enough, the only novel of his I've actually finished cover-to-cover is "Finnegans Wake." I've also been reading lots of Charles Bukowski lately.

Favourite movies

I like all sorts of movies. My only stipulation is that if it's a dumb movie it has to enjoy being a dumb movie....see "Anchorman" or "Transformers" for clarification.

Favourite tv shows

I don't watch TV, outside of the occasional masochistic urge to watch a few hours of cable news. I'm also a "Lost" addict, but I watch that on the website, not on TV.
