In the realm of pop music: Radiohead, Björk, Autechre, U.N.K.L.E., Underworld, Secret Machines, Kid606, Matmos, Massive Attack, and the ever changing ever expanding list of artists that I find agreeable. In the Realm of classical: Denis Smalley, Dmitri Shostakovich, Igor Stravinsky, Morton Feldman, John Cage, Alban Berg, John Corigliano, Judith Wier, Charles Ives, Per Bloland, Arvo Part, Kristoph Penderecki, the list is massive and could go on for days. I have recently been listening to a recent recording of Beethoven’s Ninth done by the Minnesota Chorale; it is amazing! In the realm of jazz: John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, Brad Mehldau, Thelonious Monk, Charles Mingus, and many others. Oh, and I have recently developed a taste for French Hip Hop; namely IAM.

Favourite books

I read a lot, so picking out favourites is difficult. I am especially fond of the Dune books (the original set and the new ones), the Dark Tower series, and anything written by the late, great Douglas Adams. I also read a lot of Music Theory and History books (my wife says I am a nerd that way). I've also been reading a lot of Theology recently. Mainly on the topic of Theology and Music. I know, it’s kind of geeky too. I am currently reading The Place of Christ in Liturgical Prayer: Christology, Trinity, Liturgical Theology and The Cambridge Companion to Martin Luther.

Favourite movies

Favorite Movies: Those who know me, know of my love of Star Wars (all of them). I am also a big fan of Akira Kuraswa's The Hidden Fortress and Ran. I also like THX 1138, and Metropolis (the anime film and the classic silent film). I could list dozens of movies, but I'll just leave it at that. Of course, I would be remiss to not mention my love of -- The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

Favourite tv shows

I try not to watch the television, but when I am trying to get my son to sleep I do end up watching a couple of shows that we have on our Tivo. Lost, Battlestar Galactica, Robot Chicken, Frontline, Doctor Who, and Sealab 2021. Oh, and I love watching the Premier League and the Bundesliga!
