I love Kokomo so much. It is so happy, vibrant, upbeat and simply brilliant. The way the verses paint a picture of a beautiful and illustrious island that is simply put; paradise is so alluring. It makes me want to go to this “Kokomo” place. However even if the island of Kokomo sadly is not real the song however is a one of a kind masterpiece the way it mixes tropical music, 80s pop, With elements of jazz thrown in and of course a feeling of romanticized Paradise bliss sprinkled on top is simply unmatched to any other song. Even the chorus is so simple yet catchy plus the fact that it’s very upbeat and happy certainly helps. When discussing this beautiful song there is no possible way you could leave out Carl Wilson’s beautiful voice relieving us from the chorus into a beautiful segment with his angelic voice. Everyone in the band is doing their parts great for this song is amazing even The brief saxophone solo is nothing but brilliant. All in all Kokomo is the most perfect if not the closest thing humanity will ever have to an objectively perfect song it is no wonder people seem to absolutely love this great song!
