I dont know how to get in touch with you directly...so I am using this space...I with my wife travelled all the way from Bahrain to Barcelona to watch you live...Cause when I first heard Ok Computer somewhere around 1999, It changed everything I knew about music. It was like someone directly talking to me...and I promised myself almost 15 years ago that this is the band I'll watch live no matter what...
It took me a long time and preparation to come and watch you live. And after long planning and strenuous visa process we finally reached Primavera Sound - Barcelona. I couldn't believe it was happening...we were there…right where Radiohead will take stage in few hours...
And when Savages finished their set on Heineken stage ...we thought its better to wait at the same spot for Radiohead as later we might not get better spot. But after waiting and kept standing in that area for hours We have been thrown out from that area with many others...cause it was designated to fuking VIPs...who the fuck are VIPs in music shows??...there were no proper signs to tell us that this is only for VIPs...we watched the Savages from the same area and no one raised any issue from organiser's side. No security came to tell us that we were not supposed to be standing there cause we havent paid that much money...
And after that we were just running around to get a spot from where I can see the band...but it was all in vein cause everyone has taken and reserved their spots....All we could see from where we were standing was the lights hanging from the stage and had to jump to get a glimpse of the band...it was when I heard Thom’s voice "Stay In The Shadow"...we realised its fuking happening...we are in Radiohead show….but half of the show went in finding a right spot to get a glimpse of the band..
Also side screens has no video on them most of the time...so our view was lights hanging from the stage ceiling..
we couldn't see any of it...we just looked at stars and heard you playing on Primavera Stage...I never felt that level of helplessness in my life...
And we were so pissed and disappointment that we sold our next day festival tickets....it was not worth it...we left it for VIPs...
