Hourglass

Awaken from another wasted day between four walls

Roaming around crowded stairs and halls,

Observing time slip away to the grave,

Uneasy but still alleging we are safe.

Narrowed on a anxious conclusion,

Dead mind in a peaceful illusion

Taken aback by your life

On to win a strife.

Why?

Always losing it,

Stuck but hard to admit,

Trying but still missing out,

Erased joy just to remain proud.

Torn slices fly off in a hollow void,

In pieces, pretending you've enjoyed

Misinterprueted promises and bad decisions,

Eclipsed all time and with it all your chances and visions.
