Nine months. Dozens of shows. Hundreds of fans I've conversed with over the Internet and in real life over one band.
I really wasn't intending to be a part of the W.A.S.T.E. community. I originally made an account here so I could get tickets to the Mansfield show. Unfortunately, that was a disaster, but I decided to stick around because I saw that there was more to W.A.S.T.E. than just pre-ordering tickets.
This is the first time I seriously followed a band on tour. I would check the news updates, look at photos, etc. I was even a part of Radiohead history with the Mansfield show, which remains to this day one of the greatest nights of my life. And the disaster in Canada proved to me that these weren't just a bunch of guys whose music I really enjoy. I genuinely cared about their well-being, and hearing that, despite losing one of their own, they made it out of the rubble o.k.
And it's all because I got to meet fans like the ones on W.A.S.T.E.
Thank you for welcoming me into the community, even if I'm fairly new to the band's music. Following the band on tour this past year has been a blast, and I can't wait to do it again.
