So this is not new...But still relatively recent. Felt like this post warranted a disclaimer of some sort. As I weave my way through an internet that seems to be completely on strike today, LEVI's Pioneer Sessions surfaced, with covers by The Kills, She & Him, Passion Pit and The Shins. Not a bad selection for a day where the act of viewing a webpage requires extensive use of the 'cache' feature.
The Kills try out the Velevt Underground classic 'Pale Blue Eyes', while She & Him continue in their classical footsteps with old-timey 60's favorite 'Fools Rush In' done by Elvis, Frank Sinatra and many others. Passion Pit creatively reinvents Smashing Pumpkins' 1995 jam 'Tonight, Tonight'. Last but not least, The Shins create a jaunty tune out of 'Goodbye Girl' originally done by Squeeze.
