yes, it has actually happened!!! Perhaps (quoting Sarah Silverman), we will STOP being the "ASSHOLES OF THE UNIVERSE"!So, we looked out of the window when it just started - hours ago... And the Empire State Building was lit BLUE - all three sections... Normally, it's broken into three colors - but it was BRIGHT BLUE.At 11PM CNN CALLED IT - when the polls in California, Oregon, Washington closed - and we stepped out to the balcony - and there was a STEADY SCREAM, ecstatic scream over Manhattan, and clapping - and so we clapped, and we screamed - and we still feel it is totally surreal.I cannot - and should not - blog now, I've been getting 3-4 hrs of sleep/night for several nights in a row... I'm making no sense.Let's hope we get better - we have been SO DISEASED...Ok now, Obama is speaking, I'll listen.love ya all. ;-)P.S. 40 min later: on the ways home, I saw groups of people wearing shiny silly 'Happy New Year' hats ...
