i regress
through this dark glass
i see
not clearly
looking at my reflection
in a bronze mirror
braiding my hair
regression
searching for
my love
throughout time
all memory
the braid
was made as if to
bind him to me somehow
within time
forever.
the reflection was fleeting
and this image startled me.
i remember
i had prayed
i prayed this braid would be
eternal.
i often see
that dark haired woman
staring at me
through the bronze mirror
hair so black,
almost blue,
dressed in gold
silk and cotton
scented with myrrh
cinnamon,
spices
i dont know the names
of, maybe...
papyrus, musk,
almond, vanilla,
lavender and rose.
prayers are in vain
and memory is bleak.
surrounded by stones:
onyx, lapis lazuli, opal, pearl and coral
turquoise topaz diamond and jade.
Gardens in the dessert
the trees, the trees and plants!!!
a paradise...and
Labrynths underground.
Wonders of wonders, unbelievable
have i seen
but none of these
could hold a mirror to
my true loves eyes
not one stone
not one statue
not one mystery
or sacred place
could ever...
the look of love in his eyes
makes me move mountains
I swim with dragons
with no fear
i cross the river
with the dragons by my side,
to see my love on the
other side.
my black eyed angels
know my love
and protect me.
i do not fear.
they will never devour me.
only love is as strong as death
this is my courage
because it is the truth
and all
bow down and worship
the truth
this is the banner of love
over me,
protecting me.
we meet in the middle of the river
and hold each other.
there is no other for him
and no other for me;
only now and all eternity.
we do not need to speak.
he knows me
and
i him.
we are one.
we are not afraid of the river
we are not afraid of the alligators.
i percieve the entire universe in his eyes
and he reminds me that
I AM
within a lifetime
and many
a song without end.
i'm braiding my hair
and singing
because
i will see you again
and again
and again
forever-more
you are the sun
the moon
and the stars.
i spoke of my love
now i speak of my enemy.
my enemy destroyed my name
my sacred burial and all that i loved
and he told me he would do this to me
while i was taking my last breath.
i reply
although,
they may
destroy my temple
my statues
my life work
my peace art and translations
of culture
they may try and destroy
the memory of me
my memory remains sound
without proper funeral or ceremony
my name was pissed on and my heart broken
my body buried with slaves
my enemy looked me in the eyes
while i was dying
and told to me
i will destroy all you created
i will destroy all that you love
i will make war
wherever you made peace.
this he said to me...
while i was dying.
...death was not good enough...
he wanted me to die knowing that
anything done of me would die too.
i was poisoned and in anguish...
but there was nothing worse than the words that he told to me
that my life work
was destroyed....
he saw the pain in my eyes....
the total...
betrayal and abandonment....
i died looking into the eyes of a man...that....hated me so much....
and killed me in more than one way.
i am still trying to outlive the curse he set upon me
more than thousands of thousands and thousands of years ago.
...
i still remember
he killed...everyone i loved, and told me he would do so before i died.
now i am reborn...
but i remember everything...
i remember everything...
i wish i could go back
to the wild horses, my best friend, i rode bare back,
the lions, the trees. my wise friends.
but i can't go back
and i cannot forget that i died there,
long ago...
and nobody
will ever find my body.
but it doesn't matter now.
only i know.
the memory dies with me.
The nominees for Rock & Roll Hall of Fame have been announced and Radiohead is among them. To be eligible for the 2018 class, acts must have released a single or album in or before 1992. Radiohead released their first studio album on February 1993. This means that Radiohead are shortlisted, immediately after they have been qualified for the first time ever.
The winners will be chosen by a body of around 900 artists, historians and music-industry figures with input from the public, who will be able to cast their votes until 5 December. The list of successful artists will be announced at the end of the year and inducted at a ceremony next April.

I don't know if we are few here. But I'd like to invite everyone in Bogotá or Colombia to meet and go together in case that Radiohead comes here!
It'd be wonderful if we go together and we meet.
yesterday here in Brazil there was an information that the band was angry about the leaked news 'bout the shows (according to the information there's nothing signed or closed).
Therefore...
I was the only person on Radiohead's sites to post the news about the shows...
and this leads me to:
-HI THOM! ARE YOU?
So so so excited about the release of this album on CD. I can't wait to receive my copy, put it on my MP3 (yes) player and float away. Thank you Mr. Yorke for this treat.
I am very saddened right now, the Las Vegas murders, the earthquakes and hurricanes, and on a personal note, I just found out that I need a replacement left hip, left knee and fusion of some lower vertebra. Of course with my job, my income, my insurance, this is not about to happen. I wear a knee brace for support, I take all the meds for the pain and inflammation, but the sadness around me prohibits me from healing.
I am so glad the world did not end as we know it on Septemember 23, but I am also aware that "rocket man" and "orange glow man" can end it at any point. Two crazies at the helm, how fucking depressing...... Hope and pray all are well and finding happiness where they can. One more blow yesterday, the passing of Tom Petty. His music gave me hours and hours on the rollercoaster of memories and moments, that I will cherish till my end. Peace and Blessings to all, Jean
