Loved songs that seem to realign me to me, to remind me of people I ve met, places I ve been and wonders I ve experienced. this is why I am here
I am amazed when someone, by chance and almost always
without reason, tells me she does not know what love is.
I know exactly what love is. love is knowing
that there is a part of us that no longer belongs to us.
love is knowing that we forgive everything to that part
of us that is not ours. love is to be weak.
love is fear and wanting to die.

Children of the lost
The wind will carry you
Open the doors of crystal frost
And beg at the feet of few
Blue canyons
With bronze batons
The beginning is anew
The worst fear is the fear of ourselves and the worst oppression is self-oppression. Before trying to fight anything else, I think it is important to combat it is to win the freedom of not being afraid of ourselves.

For an angel in human flesh
a guardian of the holy truth,
the sole protector of all divine and pure
left on this Earth:
Lately I've been feeling nothing but gratefuL
Over all life and its' conducting maestrO
Versatile, elegant, a master of improV
Easily justifies the air I still breathE
The beauty you emanate
shines a light in the darkest corner
of my soul.
I want to grow a garden with you
of colorful flowers,
ancient trees with deep roots,
a garden of magical creatures;
of fairies, gnomes and old magicians,
a garden worthy of the name Eden.
I want to carry you through
the grass and earth of our creation,
to walk beside you
wondering
and
wandering,
and once our eyes are satisfied by all around us,
we lay our bodies on the ground
and experience the universe without words;
with only our bodies,
the instruments of our souls.
From it will come
a creature so sublime,
your eyes will water
with the spark so divine.
Rest now for it will come true,
Undoubtful it is, this I promise you,
Before our very eyes she will arise,
Years of pain will finally be justified.
A week filled with some fantastic music. Only a few weeks to Glastonbury and the Glasto gang convened for a matinee performance of Prince at the Roundhouse. Cal home this weekend. Friend's birthday today so we're going to watch Pulp film followed by a 'satellite Q & A'.
Where do you think Jarvis could be?
Tell you later.
BAILOUT...
We all must have heard or spoke the words
how "ignorance is bliss" or "betrayed with a kiss"
oh how I agree that it's not what it seems.
a whistleblower I'd be,,,of things I don't agree
I say those words to present to the world
not for greed, nor for fame
Do you still believe we are free,
think hard and long about this democracy
such a tragedy with the hypocrisy
this is my home, land of the free
home of the greed,
where is my bailout, cause im selling out...

SPLIT SIDES !

Radiohead and Sigur Ros have created new music for the Merce Cunningham Dance Company's piece "Split Sides," which will debut Oct. 14 at New York's Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM). SOURCE
Radiohead guitarist Jonny Greenwood reveals to Billboard.com that on opening night, each group will perform 20 minutes of live music with a twist: the dancers "won't have heard the music until they start."
"It is raising lots of interesting problems about what dance music is," Greenwood admits. "We're talking about the bands crossing from one to the other or sorting out a structure. It could be interesting. Maybe we'll all kind of surprise each other and do the opposite kind of music that we're known for."
"Split Sides" will also be staged Oct. 16-18 at BAM, with the dancers performing to a combination of pre-recorded music and live musicians attempting to recreate the Radiohead and Sigur Ros compositions. A similar arrangement will be utilized when Cunningham's troupe performs the piece elsewhere.
"Musicians copying what we're doing sounds bizarre to me," says Greenwood. "I feel for them! We only just know what we're doing. I'm sure it will be easy for them, but it just might be a bit weird."
A BAM spokesperson says Cunningham will add to the improvisational nature of the piece by employing two different stages and two different sets of costumes, allowing for various future permutations of the performance. Ticket information is not yet available, but the Oct. 14 debut will be a fundraiser of some kind.
We’ve had some queries about the sigur rós and radiohead collaboration. in september last year we informed you that sigur rós and radiohead are planning on writing music together for renowned dance choreographer Merce Cunningham‘s upcoming piece, to be premiered in new york city in october 2003. this news is now suddenly, for some reason, breaking in at various media publications but we have nothing new to report about the matter. at this stage it’s too early to tell what the collaboration will be like exactly but we’ll let you know as soon as there is progress in the matter. I often wonder why bands just stop playing songs, maybe either over played and do not want to be identified by that one song or maybe just not happy with the musicianship or whatever put into it. So my question is this , i don't know every song the band has played but i've found a handful of live performances of LET DOWN and then it dissapeared from the set lists. Does anybody know if It was played live within the last 5 to 10 years, anyways the band should give themselves alot of credit composing that song its a great melodic and powerful song that should be played more often, but hey I never call out songs at shows any shows i like the band to do what they want , at least thats what i like when I perform but LEt Down is a great well written solid song I wonder, or maybe Im ignorant maybe they do play it more than i know,,, well i'd like to hear it again but not played as if in the 90's but played as the band evolved...over the years, I guess i love that tune cause the lyrics I identify with my past struggles and coming back from it all,,,,anyways does anyone know what Thom uses for his loop pedal on vocals, i can never see their gear, i believe he used a TC HELICON touch vocal on a Atoms show but on Ghost not sure these camera men dont give a shit a bout gear should start getting pedal shots with the guys its 50% of the sound on the pedal board im just a gear junkie always wonder how they get that sounds .......feedbackwould be cool oh is Thom SG a reissue or an original 60's model i 62?
