So.. despite the fact that radiohead wont ever come to this god forgotten place called latin america i still have another things i want to blog about.. mainly cause it was labor day yesterday and pretty much everything is stuck till tuesday cause we celebrate our victory over the french ocupation during maximilian time..so im stuck at work with nothing better to do.The 12 of last month i went to mexico city , i was suppose to go to a baptism but i lied to my boss and the reason i traveled was to go to this small fest where i had the chance to see live Bright Eyes , My Morning Jacket and the Smashing Pumpkins..also , the mars volta wich it isnt exiciting at least for me to see live..So it Rained all night and then all day..and i had no jacket on .. just a t shirt and later another one i bought on the concert.. coming from someone used to at least 30Celcius at mid day , being at 2 celcious was a shock... tho when the music started i forgot about all that and went straight to the stages..we had 2 stages one where bright eyes was about to play so i went to see them.. Funny cause the freaking sound check was 45 minutes long and in a fest thats asking for the crowd to boo you...so Connor Orbest Finally went out and they started to play , sadly mainly songs from Cassadaga wich i dont like that much i mean it does have it's moments but i was waiting more songs from im wide awake its morning .. i got to hear this is the first day of my life wich was cool.. then a sappy pop band named belanova came to the stage , i had to endure the cold and their crappy music cause i wanted a close spot for my morning jacket...so My morning Jacket finally came to the stage playing it beats 4 u from "Z" they played almost all "Z" except for my big time favorite dondante , i really enjoyed MMJ Live , their show was so energetic and magical than even connor orbest came to the stage to see them play..Later that night after getting some food and no beer , was too cold to drink beer , i had a few smokes and waited for The Smashing Pumpkins a band that i had 12 years wait to see live , i know corgan can be pretencious and a pain in the ass but he had wrotte in my humble opinion some amanzing songs that i will never forget...Sadly in order to see Corgan and whats left of his band i had to endure 25 minutes of My Chemical Romance and then 45 minutes of pushings , rain , and assholes smoking pot all over the people but it was all worth when i heard the first chords of today.. listening to a song lik Mayonaisse live was overwhelming.. i do have to admit i had some tears coming out specially when corgan and i screamed can anybody hear me? i just want to be... ME!! but when i can.. i will..i also had a chance to see on one of the screens part of the show of the mars volta while i waited for the pumpkins and lord they suck so bad live i mean is not like they are not amazing musicians , or instrumentists is just that at some point you dont even know what the fuck they are playing and also omar the lead singer its very disrespectful with the crowd , he trew a microphone base to the audience and was about to smack someone with a gas tank... tore up all the stage ... i dont know , not the kind of show that i like to see..so the night ended and i was tired , voiceless , with some bruises but it was all worth.. i went home wondering if the smashing pumpkins experience was so intense then Radiohead live is going to kill me. i know it will be a hard mix of emotions that i wont be able to control.the rest of the week i went to work , i was also scared , big city and all that but in the end i even got a job offer and an open door for whenever i want to cross it and that left me with a huge smile and .. strangly feeling proud about my self...i took a lot of pictures so spect me to update this blog post with links to them...
