Wychwood Music Festival

Great weekend of music, mad dancing, dressing up - and down! and new food experiences, ( Crocodile Burger anyone?). Highlights for me; The Blockheads, Duffy, Orchestra Baobab, The Imagined Village and Stornaway. The real ale was not the only attraction in the Wickwar tent, honestly. There were some really talented young musicians playing, 'We See Lights' and 'The Travelling Band' among many who caught my ear. In the Big Top Tent Mor Karbasi was real quality. The weather was kind to those of us who chose to camp and the sun shone brightly through cloud cover that threatened to put a damper on things, but only managed a pathetic shower on Saturday morning so early that most people didn't even notice. Cheltenham Racecourse must be the most beautiful venue for an event like this.Solar powered cinema was well worth a visit. Saw a fantastically gory, but brilliantly animated adult cartoon 'Free Jimmy' that really deserves a wider audience.Should have recovered by next weekend for Dublin!
