Simon Armitage, Kafka and Derek Walcott

Three literary legends whom I have been and shall be reading at the moment. I read Simon Armitage's book 'Gig'. Which is sort of his autobiography, though it focuses mainly on his music tastes. Very funny and interesting, rare to find in a modern autobiogrphy. If you don't know who he is then buy 'Gig' and 'Selected Poems' and you'll catch up.I've also decided to re-read Kafka's 'The Trial' even though I should be reading 'Wuthering Heights' and 'Alias Grace' for next year of A level but oh well, i've got lots of time.As well as all of this I'm reading Derek Walcott's Collected Poems as well. He was born In St Lucia in 1930 and went to the University Of the West Indies, which I am tempted to go to instead of somewhere in England like Exeter or Sussex. I have family who live in Barbados and so the thought of sitting on a beach in Barbados studying rather than Brighton Pier is a hard one to ignore.
