How do you not breathe? (<_<)

Sick as a dog at the moment, horrible case of allergic reaction to fuck knows what kind of pollen is flying around right now. As always, my body is not content with presenting a usual case of hay fever, oh no. Instead I feel like every breath is like inhaling fire, my throat flooded with acid, my lungs shriveling as if I got decompression sickness. And the worst: I can't stop swallowing. Yeahyeah, I know this sounds funny but it isn't. It is an irrepressible reflex that cannot be controlled of governed. Like hiccups. Can you suppress hiccups? There you go, it is just the same. It makes my throat even more sore and, worse, keeps me from sleeping. I swallow. All the time. Day or night.
The allergy came on rather fast and strong, usually I start taking heavy medication at the first sign but this time it took me by surprise. Now I am poisoning myself with a cocktail of antihistamines, cortisone and various cough suppressant, and still cannot sleep, although the Telfast is making me even more tired. I just have to wait until the meds in my blood stream built up to a certain level before they start kicking in.
On the plus side: the mixture of meds and allergic reactions raging through my body thoroughly managed to kill my appetite.

Speaking of sleep, I really would like to have this bed: (Preferably with a mosquito net for a curtain. Cave girl wants her cave.)
