Wealth In Decency.
There’s a leprechaun at the end of the rainbow
smoking a cigarette sitting on a pile of gold
I am tempted to break his nose
give him a black eye and steal his gold
but then I heed the warning
God would want better of me
so I light my own cigarette and sit next to him
we share a thermos of coffee
and joke about the weather
wanting nothing more than what I’m offered.
