Motherfucker!

I'm giving up partying![until the summer]Yesterday, at a deserted, tiny and shitty gasibo at a big and shitty party I lost my phone when walking a very short distance (from the attic to the front door, it's one sets of stairs and finito!). One moment it was in my pocket and the next moment "Poof!". There I was in the middle of nowhere with no phone, drunk with drunk friends and no phone, my only salvation. Every single social event I've been to lately has somehow fucked up and this was the last straw. I'm giving up my social life until after exams. There are three things I hate when going out and will make me very cranky if they do:*losing stuff*losing my friends*not getting homeI didn't really lose my friends yesterday but I did miss the drinking of quite a nice looking red wine bottle they had in the trunk of Hulk, a very green car. I hate not knowing how to get home, or even knowing if I'm getting home at all, especially when there's work the day after. It's amazing how much you're depended on your phone. I feel crippled now and it doesn't help that I'm hung over and ill... and unable to call work sick because I don't have the phone number.I don't think I've ever cursed as much as yesterday. The only positive thing I can say about yesterday night was: "I was wearing tap dance shoes" :|

Ok so today has been one of those days i was used to in the past, working on my own for once, I only had one job to do and work had given me all day to do it, so I nipped to the office around 9 then nipped to my mates for a brew hehe cheeky me.on the way to the job I stuck my mp3 player on and listened to 'in rainbows' and it still dont get boring what a top quality album. I then got pissed on as I was working outside but that didnt matter.Because we all get pissed on in life.

First blog...sorry for being uninspired!

So, will let you know more 'bout me...since 5 years, I'm hosting and producing the show London Cafe on the Montreal airwaves at CISM 89.3 FM (that's a really great station you should listen to as it's available through the net at www.cism893.ca). I already interviewed a couple of bands for this show and hope one day I'll meet Radiohead (though they're so big over here, so it will be difficult I think so, but there's still hope..) Last week, my co-host brought me a ''country'' version of Radiohead songs, in fact 'twas a medley and it was so funny.Going to see Radiohead this summer, will be the greatest bday gift I will ever have

AA Bondy - American Hearts

Salt of the earth. We saw him at a couple shows this year, it's funny cause he wasn't on the list both of the times that we saw him. Like he'd play this really short, melancholy set in between the bigger acts. He'd come on, looking like cigarettes and liquor, as if his face was carved in granite, and sing songs that are pretty much about the same."Vice Rag"Sweet, sweet cocaineWon't you be all mineHeart'll pound, my hands will shakeI'm doin' mighty fineSweet, sweet heroinWon't you be all mineI don't wanna feel a thingWant nothin' on my mindSweet, sweet whiskeyWon't you be all mineIf you were to fill the oceanI would drink it drySweet, sweet devilWon't you be all mineSet this tired land aflameIt ain't worth a dimeSweet, sweet JesusWon't you be all mineIf you take my sinner's handWe'll walk down the lineI doubt you read the whole thing, but its a sweet track. When he'd hum the melody during the bridge his entire face would vibrate with this uninhibited honesty. Its just so tender, maybe I'm just too down right now so I really appreciate that little soul sad musical whatever, but its "working" on me. I mean give "Theres a Reason" a listen, a lot say it sounds like Ryan Adams, I wouldn't know, its real slow and "throws" the word love around, but honestly I don't give a shit, I mean we're all influenced by Neil Young.I suppose its a way to stray away from the supposedly pretentious direction music has taken, I sometimes love that direction, but people like Bondy just don't need it."Rapture (Sweet Rapture)"I don't want to talk about Jesus, I just wanna see his face.Really you can interpret that in so many ways, sure its taken out of the lyrical context with the rest of the song, but not many people take the entire song into consideration, not until you've heard a song thirty or so times and all the pieces fall together (or maybe I'm a little dumb). I just see it as he doesn't care who the almighty benevolent force is behind the workings of the universe, he just wants to be enlightened. This kind of natural curiosity thats almost child like. Ion't know, its just nice innit?Really thats what I get from him, these simply arranged love/god/drug songs that are devoid of pretension. It's almost like he was born in the wrong decade, I mean I wanna smoke and drink with him on his front porch! Its funny, I remember the second time we saw him, he was behind the stage lighting up a cigarette, we were up in the front row waiting for some band or another, I yelled out "BONDY", he looked up and gave this huge, genuine smile, maybe a thumbs up, I don't remember too much detail really, just thats he's just a really fucking swell guy.Edit: Was just informed of his past band, where he had dyed his hair and was rocking out, so it may very well be a facade I've fallen for, but I don't know really. I'll stick with my story for now, his music is good enough.

What is W.A.S.T.E.??

So now I am a member of yet another internet group site. I have no idea what to do on here or how this is different from other sites. I'm going to delve in head first (as usual) and give it a go. I'll keep you posted on how I manage.

Guitar Crazy

Last week spanned a day that changed the course of how things go in my life at the moment. My brother bought me an electric guitar as a bonus for work. That night I played it and played it for hours, still of course not knowing how to play it properly but still fun none the less.Well its grown from that to full on epic ballads of all things that pop into my head at any given moment, as well as for my friend (how_ironic). She does the same thing, although she actually managed to find the notes to play no surprises, we almost cried it was so glorious. But anyway, so I'm at work, and I bring my guitar to the office almost everyday, I have because amp here and don't at home because its a co-work ers, and finally yesterday and today I didn't bring Betty (She's jet black so i named her after the song Black Betty), and what happens. My buddy (once again that would be how_ironic) called me and asked me to pick her up one at the pawn shop, so the first thing everyone at the office sees as there coming in is me running out to buy another guitar. So now they all think I'm addicted to buying guitars. Whoops.

Plan Of Action!!!!!?

SO as i sit here with The Cure , "Disintigration" playing on my I Pod, I ponder how I am going to do the whole ticket thing on Sat morn. I used to be all into it; but after years of waiting inline for 9 hrs with no let down besides one, I am just gonna call on my way to work in hope that I catch The Super seat section (HW Bowl) or below. I have one other phone/internet going as well at home, thank god to my BF.I have to say that I am very impressed with the price of tickets, Max 75 dollars. That is very good for the Bowl. For Morrissey I paid 65.00 for crappy seats. I think it has to do with the band being sensitive to our pocket books. I have seen way too many shows at the bowl. 75 for the most exspensive seats is sooooo worth it!I wish all you fans the best of luck with your tickets!Peace out~P

HELLO, EVERYONE!!!

Hi,New to all of this. It's pretty good, though. Unlike MySpace and the like, it's a fair bet that most members on here have pretty spiffing tastes in music and the like.If I've sent you an add request, it's because I think you get "it", whatever "it" is.Cultural references; music, films, literature. If I've added a disproportionate number of people from Russia, it's probably Dostoevsky's fault. If you've mentioned Orwell or Vonnegut on your profile, that's the reason. If you've mentioned "Apocalypse Now", I can't help it. I probably love you already.Otherwise, I may just like the cut of your jib, or think your home town has a funny name.If you're French, it's probably because of student riots or "La Haine".If this sounds like an invitation to join a religious cult; don't worry, it isn't. At least not yet...I'm also on MySpace and Bebo;www.myspace.com/omniblobwww.bebo.com/THEBEAGRIEI also have a blog;www.stevebeagrie.comMainly geared towards my musical and literary interests. My book;http://www.amazon.co.uk/Every-Now-Then-Stephen-Beagrie/dp/1403395780/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1207860097&sr=8-3If you don't want to add me, it's OK. If you do, strap yourself in for a bunch of pretentious horse-shit and bad poetry.Oh, and tell your friends. Tell all your friends...Much Love,Steve.

I SWEAR TO GOD

THERE IS A FIVE SECOND WINDOW WHEREIN YOUR BREAD GOES FROM "TOASTED" TO "CHARRED BEYOND RECOGNITION."It’s like, do I blame the bread or the toaster? I think I’m going to go with the toaster, because what the hell does "7″ mean? Seven what? Why are my options in numbers? There should only be one option and it should be EDIBLE. I’ll even take "golden," "crunchy," and "haha." Regardless, I shouldn’t be able to leave a mark on the wall with my bread. No matter, it’s not like I don’t have a back-up plan...

This is unconfirmed intelligence, but I think my family got wind of some sort of bread ration that is going to be implemented in the very near future, and thus decided to buy all the bread in the world.Honestly, if I don’t even know the logic behind what’s happening on a counter top in my own kitchen, how am I supposed to figure out the logic behind life?

Intro to Me

Well to start this off I'm going to steal the idea my friend used in her first vlog she made for me. I'll get the ball rolling by writing out ten things you probably don't know about me.1.I spend way too much time doing my hair and make up, its almost sick.2. I can't cook worth shit unless its a recipe from a certain talk show. (I've set fire to water, seriously)3. I watch Rachel Ray every chance I get. And I watch the odd Dr. Phil epp.4. My favourite part of going to the movies is being an ass and laughing and yelling vulgar comments at the screen to the point that I've been booed out of 6 movies in the last year, I've gone probably ten times in the last year.5. I get really paranoid when I smoke weed.6. I've come accustomed to paranoia and as result smoke more than most people I know.7. Unintentionally I have a tendancy to get people to start smoking again without even realizing it.8. I'm addicted to buying DVD's.9. I love my best friends dog more than I love my own.10. I'm a bitch and I love it! (Telling me so only betters my mood, I love having faults thrown in my face.)
