Walk into a roomThere lies the new oneThere lies the one who has your heartBlink and all's forgottenNo scars to hint of painNothing left but happiness to gainAnd so you hold on and you're heldEffortlessly there is more room in your soulDays so readily wastedJust looking in those eyesMelting the outer shellThat took a lifetime to buildIt is so easy to love you

Voice of an Angel

Chasing time results in immense frustration
Frustration that culminates in pain
The sweet sound of an angels voice
Such release to be had
Eyes closed as the music hums
Melting stress on its path to the soul
It crosses all barriers
It comforts the lonely
And it soothes the sad
It reaches through the core of emotions
Grabbing what happens to exist there
Holding fast for a ride to wherever the music will land
Accompanying melancholy through to brighter days
Smiling within
Absorbing the pain
And leaving things better than when it began

I suppose this is my little thank you to Mr. Thom.

So many reasons to be angry today... Won't write about it though... Too much beauty in this song to do anything else.11.

Listening, Moving, Waiting, Finishing

So much is going on! Holy frig!Nathan and K have been a blast. Going back to school has been quite interesting and returning back to my part-time gig is just peachy. I've been listening to RH albums ever so delicately. After a summer fill I have surprisingly decided that Hail to the Thief is my favourite album.Sail to the Moon has won best song for me. I've probably listened to it a thousand times. My playlist looks like:I Might Be Wrong,Pyramid Song,Scatterbrain,Sail to the Moon,Morning Bell,Airbag,How to Disappear CompletelyI always have to end by listening to How to Disappear Completely ..... I miss u.

The Day After

Like water off a ducks back, the smile returns. The next day all is well, as if it never happened. There is no denial, but there is also no dwelling. A lesson I wish I could learn as I continue to ponder things incessantly. Resilient and strong in spite fear. Quiet and hopeful and grateful for a good day. I am at ease in the knowledge that despite appearances, he is truly stronger than I could hope to be.

Outra matériaRadiohead, Blur, Keane push for 'three strikes' downloading ruleMusicians sign motion to push for restricted bandwidth for downloaders"Radiohead's Ed O'Brien, Blur's Dave Rowntree and Keane's Tim Rice-Oxley are among the musicians who have signed up to a motion by the Featured Artists Coalition to support the idea of a 'three strikes' rule for illegal downloaders.Under the proposed rule, users who persistently illegally download would receive up to three letters with increasing severity, then a sanction on the speed of their internet connection if they continued to do so.The idea is at odds with the UK government's proposal for new legislation. Yesterday (September 24) Business Secretary Lord Peter Mandelson again outlined his proposal to cut off the connections of persistent file-sharers, saying it would be a "last resort" as an action against copyright infringers.A message on FAC website, featuredartistscoalition.com following a meeting yesterday (September 24) read: "Our meeting voted overwhelmingly to support a three-strike sanction on those who persistently download illegal files, sanctions to consist of a warning letter, a stronger warning letter and a final sanction of the restriction of the infringer’s bandwidth to a level which would render file-sharing of media files impractical while leaving basic email and web access functional."The members also voted to support Lily Allen, who was recently campaigning against illegal downloading. The singer stepped away from the debate yesterday. The file-sharing debate: all the key quotes so far"NME NEWSSeptember 25, 2009http://www.nme.com/news/radiohead/47508New video

Ed O'Brien hits out against plan along with the Featured Artists Coalition"Radiohead guitarist Ed O'Brien has hit out at the UK government's plan to cut off the internet access of persistent illegal file-sharers.O'Brien, a member of the Featured Artists Coalition musicians' alliance, was speaking as the organisation condemned the plan, which was outlined in August, saying it could drive fans away from music."It's going to start a war which they'll never win," the guitarist said about the proposed measure, reports BBC News. "It won't work. It's as simple as that. I was talking to a serial file-sharer the other day who is a friend. He downloads films and he hasn't paid for music for six years."I asked his opinion of it and he laughed. He said, 'Even if they cut me off I'll still be able to do it.' It's something you do not want to take on, so move on."In a joint statement with the British Academy Of Songwriters, Composers And Authors and the Music Producers Guild, the FAC described the proposals as "heavy handed" and explained that its members, which include Kate Nash and Blur's Dave Rowntree "vehemently oppose" the notion."We don't want to make enemies of our fans," Rowntree said. "The sensible thing to do is to try to see how we can monetise all this file-sharing activity, which is evidence of a lot of interest in music."Billy Bragg, also a member of the coalition, said: "We're concerned that, in an age where there is much greater competition for attention, these proposals are in danger of driving young people away from the idea of listening to music. As musicians, we're worried about that."The government had originally given media regulator Ofcom until 2012 to decide whether such connection restricting or severing moves were necessary. However, it is believed that after the intervention of First Secretary Of State Lord Mandelson, the Department For Business, Innovation And Skills has since decided that this timescale is "too long to wait".NME NewsSeptember 10, 2009

there's a war in my head

and i need to disco. disco!discodisco! [via rip from live Justice set]The weather is brutal and I've been riding my bike between Costa Mesa and Huntington Beach all day. Forgot my wallet at home, realized this after the bill came from going to eat sushi by myself after class. Rather embarrassing. Sashelle's birthday shindig last night at the bar didn't have too much of an effect on my this morning. It was good to see David so I'm glad I went. Bought a few radiohead shirts at deelux today. Hopefully will see my brother at some point, it's his 23rd birthday and I bought him tickets to the Pixies doolittle tour. Hoping I get my laptop back today as well, at a prime point in the Office box sets and I need to finish season 4. Also falling behind in my Film Appreciation class since it revolves around having a computer at home with working audio.Goals and plans? Save money. Pay off tickets. Get my license back on Sunday but can't afford to start driving again for another few weeks. Video clerk salary is wearing me out. Sister is moving out in a month. My father, his girlfriend, and her son are moving in. I need to move out of my parents house and into somewhere sound. But time is on my side so I'll stay put for now, get my license, get a better job, complete a couple dozen units, then bail.Total recluse lately. Again, right? I know I say it every time but I'm really enjoying it right now. Need to wake up on time. Start my exercises. And read more. But at least I've building a solid foundation and freeing time to do so.To Dos this week: make a mix, burn mix CDs for friends, write out 3 month calender, jailbreak iphone, use quicken again, bluff up resume, find a better job blah blahWatch Giant with James Dean, yeah I'll do that.Alright for now

tall talk

too much smoking and pills last night at Kelli's house in Chino Hills to have a clear mind for art history this morning. Vance introduced me to quasimoto. We use to listen to marshal mathers drone on about the downside of poverty and angry, now we listen to layered non-sense. They both let the record skip all the same.wish i didn't miss the age of stupid screening near my house. thom seemed a little nervous but i can never see reckoner fail. that song has still not lost it's charm. haven't listened to the new 12" yet. I have the download, might just wait till I get the physical copy in the mail to hear the two songs. it'll give me something to look up at this week.today caught me off guard. running and speaking to people I care about but I realized I don't know how too when I'm not even all there myself. Nós vimos o post"FeelingPulledApartbyHorses/ TheHollowEarth 12inchDear Sir or MadamThis is to inform you of the release of two more bits of work shortly. They are loosely under the Thom Yorke name this time, although these days its all getting kind of blurry.FeelingPulledApartbyHorses is written & played by Jonny and I and is a radical rework of an old tune thats been kicking around without a home since 2001? i think. The Hollow Earth is a bass menace that was born out of the Eraser period but needed a little more time. Both were produced by Nigel Godrich as ever. And mastered by Bob Ludwig. They are being put out on 12" with sliced sleeve by Stanley and Tchock. My sources tell me this will be available from the 21st of September if you're interested.. On sale in the w.a.s.t.e part of our website (with a gratis download.)Or you can go buy it in a good record shop if you are lucky enough to have one near you. Then later on there will be like a normal download thing i think around the 6th of Oct through the usual channels. And so it goes. all the bestThom"Já disponível pra downloadmais notíciasWatch the new clip for 'The Hollow Earth' here"Radiohead's Thom Yorke has been brought together with graffiti artist Banksy for the video for his new solo song 'The Hollow Earth'.Watch the unofficial video for the song by clicking below. I want to go really far away and struggle to survive. Maybe I'd be more creative then. Maybe I'd find that I need adventure, experience, new new new new things to be someone. I'm so bored with myself I don't know what to do anymore. It's a whiney self loathing habit of mine to sit here and complain about things I can't really control but could've if possibly I was raised different or if I really was goddamn fearless. People will use the phrase that people like me don't want it enough. I think I want some things so much it fucking hurts and then I dwell on that instead of fixing myself. Sometimes I really don't get why people want to be around me. I feel like a blob.
