Hi W.A.S.T.E. Central Community,

Truthfully I'm not sure of the best way to go post about this here - but my name is Jamie Rogers, I am a diehard Radiohead fan - and this year I am planning on making a documentary about the diehard Radiohead fan community, and I would like to invite you to be a part of it.

When I was 15, my uncle bought us tickets to see Radiohead at a music festival. I was only a casual fan at that point. Afterwards, I became immediately enthralled, infatuated, and listened to only them exclusively for two months (nothing else). I saw them twice on the King of Limbs tour, because that's all I could afford - but at one date in Dallas, I overheard a fan say she had seen them 23 times. I immediately decided, in that moment, that this is what I wanted to do. As soon as LP9 was announced, I started saving money for this dream. This year, I'm going to see Radiohead 8 times - and possibly 10 if they add Austin City Limits to their roster.

I'm reaching out to Radiohead communities, because I am also a documentary filmmaker, and I am working on making a film about my following them on tour - but also all the incredible, diehard Radiohead fans out there, who I'd love to meet along the way. I want to hear your stories. Why do you love this band? Why have so many of us decided to sacrifice time and money to passionately embark on ambitious travel, and face endurance tests (i.e. waiting in line all day) all for the love of Radiohead?

I aim to create a comprehensive and complex portrait of the Radiohead fandom that exists across the world, that transcends culture, language, age - because the thing about this band is that they also transcend every state of emotional being - and I feel like we all share such a deep connection with them because we all have those songs we still turn to, or come to appreciate, at different points in our lives.

Please contact me at radiohead.film@gmail.com to tell me your story. In your email, please let me know if you are seeing them on tour this year, if you've seen them in the past, and where you're located. I live in Los Angeles, but I'm traveling to New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Mexico City - and most likely Montreal and Austin, on my tour. I aim to film different, compelling people and stories in each city. I look forward to hopefully hearing from some of you! Thank you for your reading.

Hi,

i am in the search of some weird fishes to go to Primavera festival. I got my ticket for the whole festival but any of my mates had the chance to get one :(

but then i thought what a great opportunity to meet some other weird fishes like me and share this moment.

Now, you are probably asking yourself who am i?

My name is Maria Millan and i am a Londoner. I am a photographer and filmmaker. I am originally from Venezuela and moved to London 5 years ago. People say i am funny, easy going, chill and over all i have a good vive and a solution minded person.

I am a music & film lover. I love traveling, languages, coffee, cake, tea, DIY, Aliens, the smell of wet grass, the sunrise, the sunset, the moon... and yeah, of course, i am a night owl.

Beside Radiohead, i love David Bowie, Talking Heads, Joy Division, LCD SoundSystem, Tame Impala, Caribou, Floating Points, The Doors, The Strokes, etc etc etc.

I am the perfect girl to go on a festival with, plus i speak spanish. I have a friend in BCN where i'll stay but he has to work so hopefully i find some great Radiohead's lovers.

secondary sales

When it comes to ticket sales, it's just fair to take such measures. Secondary sales are nothing less of stealing. It would even make sense to only sell one ticket per person or to bind each ticket to a specific name and ID.

The only thing that's really unfortunate is the online sale system. The WASTE ticket shop seemed to have massive issues. Even though I was getting a good place in the queue, something seemed to have failed. Whether it was an old version of Java that my browser was running or a server error, it was simply vexing to watch time run out and my reservation expiring along with it. The info page said not to reload the site too often OR only in case something went wrong, otherwise you'd get kicked out. So the simple fact of sitting there and seeing that apparently with everything starting out fine, some tiny issue getting in the way of your purchase is incredibly frustrating.

I'd prefer to stand in line for half a day in front of some ticket shop rather than sit at my computer, watching what at first seems like a "working reservation" only to let the tickets slip through my fingers for whatever reason (i don't care at that point).

Right after this I got a ticket for the Lollapalooza in Berlin, but would have prefered to see a solo show instead. I guess with all these problems concerning sales, we seem to be in a time of change and experimentation. At least the live experience can't really be topped by anything and will stick with you for as long as you can remember.

I don't usually post much but I think this needs to be said and I hope maybe we can all come together as a people to try and stop this from happening. On March 18th many fans were awaken from their sleep by the "MORNING BELL". As most Radioheads fans know, tickets just went on sale and many people if not most were unable to get tickets from the get go. Cheers to those who were "LUCKY". Many people went to authorized dealers or waited in line or  also waited online until tickets went on sale. Unfortuanately, most people where left "HIGH AND DRY" and without tickets due to system errors. Within minutes of tickets going on sale they were sold out and tickets were already on the secondary market for up to 10 times the normal price. Radiohead even went to great lengths to try and stop this from happening due to previous years' problems by limiting 2 tickets per purchase. That is fine for me since "ALL I NEED" is 2 tickets. How is it possible if you have multiple people in different countries and states trying to buy tickets within seconds of going on sale and all getting errors. You sit there watching the little hourglass going round and round like "SPINNING PLATES". To great dismay this happened again and again and again every year. In Beijing a half a mile line or so of  people were left without tickets. How is this possible???"HOW DO YOU" stop it??? In NYC, thousands left without tickets. How is it possible for tickets to sell out in a matter of a few mintues/seconds when multiple days are announced and are being offered with a limit of 2 tickets per purchase? Hackers? Conspiracy??? Maybe these hackers are getting deep into the "CODEX" of the computer systems. Who knows?? Something is up and it has been going on for decades now with no end in site. 2+2 is for sure equaling 5 here. Maybe I am just a "PARANOID ANDROID". What I do know is we have to come together as a people across the world to try and stop this. I have no clue what we can do but maybe others who feel the same who are a lot smarter than me are able to come up with something. I and many others find this extremely disappointing and heartbreaking because we as fans, have been waiting 4-5 years for this day, and to have it stolen from us time and time again is quite a "LET DOWN". Here in America, I understand we built this country on beating others and stepping on the person next to us to get a little higher, but music was suppose to bring people together. Living in this captialistic society, I would think has gotten me use to this, since it is "THE NATIONAL ANTHEM" of the USA, but it hasn't. It all comes down to the "DOLLARS AND CENTS". But this is not an American problem but a world problem. When will it stop and who can help? Batman? Superman? Brainiac?  I don't know if you missed that reference but the point is we need to stop this across the world so we can all enjoy a piece of great art. I hope this reaches many and wish for this to end so we can all enjoy great music from Radiohead and other great muscial artists that we all adore.  I will be "OPTIMISTIC" in this being fixed one day soon. What a "NICE DREAM" that would be for all of us to watch  Jonny Greenwood hit the "RIPCORD" live. If only we can all come together as a society to stop this injustice. It should be easy to take down as a team because when you really think about... It is all just a "HOUSE OF CARDS".  Thank you.
