apollo

The plaid experience of a cat’s ninth life,
concluding nothing: the purple crayon box

was either a blue or red facsimile of my
uncle’s barn past the dyke, the pond,

the field of dumb flowers, maples
and crows pecking at the floodgates

above a yellow ditch of limestone
that keeps itself nearly parallel

to the two-headed fence of cattle wire,
which stretches out for this parable;

meanwhile, facing the plaid stain
of myself among Hieronymus’s

foolish yolk of vox-mouthed louts
and yodelers; feeling as bogus,

knotted brown and heavy as a stilt-legged dug-

out or dumbbell beneath the matador’s hood.

Oh how is that not sensitive?
Oh that crooked yellow stump

again (?) I wonder who tripped over the gumball first,
blazing through the helium warmth–among the catch

weeds and goosegrass. Like a little mustard
seed or red engine red that couldn’t stop

toking past the pink mouth of the mound that Watt
stepped off towards his own glassy skull of Gol-

gotha. It happens all the time, whistling for
an attic’s length of rope; the trigger’s acquittal

of a banjo snaking through its revolving door
of strychnine: then the kind glass of milk, ending

a cat’s ninth life; that while, towards the crowded sunset,
you’re still thumbing your nose, on one of god’s donkeys.

secondary sales

When it comes to ticket sales, it's just fair to take such measures. Secondary sales are nothing less of stealing. It would even make sense to only sell one ticket per person or to bind each ticket to a specific name and ID.

The only thing that's really unfortunate is the online sale system. The WASTE ticket shop seemed to have massive issues. Even though I was getting a good place in the queue, something seemed to have failed. Whether it was an old version of Java that my browser was running or a server error, it was simply vexing to watch time run out and my reservation expiring along with it. The info page said not to reload the site too often OR only in case something went wrong, otherwise you'd get kicked out. So the simple fact of sitting there and seeing that apparently with everything starting out fine, some tiny issue getting in the way of your purchase is incredibly frustrating.

I'd prefer to stand in line for half a day in front of some ticket shop rather than sit at my computer, watching what at first seems like a "working reservation" only to let the tickets slip through my fingers for whatever reason (i don't care at that point).

Right after this I got a ticket for the Lollapalooza in Berlin, but would have prefered to see a solo show instead. I guess with all these problems concerning sales, we seem to be in a time of change and experimentation. At least the live experience can't really be topped by anything and will stick with you for as long as you can remember.

C'mon guys!

"Demand for this event is extremely high. The event is nearly sold out, although tickets may still become available as reservations expire. Thank you for  your patience." does that mean I am beat?! or keep waiting. This virtual queue is terrible! never experienced anything like this. Please explain better!

Random fish #487

I am Random Fish #487. I eat food. Pickles. And squash. Oh my god, spaghetti squash is good.S P A G H E T T I S Q U A S H.- cut into two halves. as un-symmetrical as possible. you can't go wrong with knives and the inability to use them. :D- fill a tray with water, depending on how big the tray is, fill it 1/6 of the way with water after placing both halves of squash in; face up, with it's guts staring at you.- place in a microwave for appoximately, exactly 34 seconds or longer, depending on your machineries efficiency. you're looking to make the insides uber soft. maybe read the next step before continuing.- grab a nice fork to scrape the insides to where they are loosened off the "shell" of the squash. scraping should resolving bits coming off in strings, like spaghetti (geddit?). do this as much as you can, like eating as much watermelon until you reach the tasteless, white bit.- leave the contents in the squash, or dump them in a bowl. i leave them in the squash because i don't need to clean more.- add salts and pepper after you add some butter. stir. now its like mashed potatoes with a whole lot more work (or less, never made mash potatoes).GOOD WITH STEAMED CARROTS. BUT NOT PEAS. DO NOT ADD PEAS.
