I'll have to check if those memories are in fact real of if my childhood imagination and the years since then have blown it out of proportion.
Also, British Sea Power. Fantastic band. Their concert on the tent stage at Haldern Festival 2005 was on of the best shows I've ever seen, completely blew me away. Unfortunately their show at Hurricane 2008 wasn't half as good but fortunately I had internalized half a liter of White Russian, so I didn't mind much (^_^) Ended up with the set list at both shows.
In 2008 the centerpiece of the set was 'The Great Skua', a long, beautiful instrumental piece, I expect the Aran sound track to be similar, looking forward to it.
We are living on different planes in different dimensions of different universes.

But for the record, I always make an effort to let people know and if they don't like what I did, I'm always happy to remove the offended party's music.)I'm still pretty new with this media- so, don't worry, I'm not paying any real bills with this and at the same time preventing you from paying yours. We really are all friends who support creatives here , aren't we?Happy Valentines Day*... so I guess I have THAT going for me...
hey man -
what are you here for
at my doors
sliding in between?
hey man -
what do you want -
shaking down the walls -
from me
these fragments of the carpet
the kitchen and the pictures
the stovetop burning
all flaming into shreds
this box crumbling
the house burning down
the windows clouding
no sound
to leave me,
in spite of you, man,
as I've always seemed -
alive, so
alive.
beowulf,
beautiful wolf.
stride through the pages,
young once, no more
mine than your own.
shake out your mane
all to trembling,
tear the monsters from the walls.
young once, no more
years eat youth like pages,
beautiful wolf.
pages bearing gifts,
gold and gilded rings
and swords, swords, swords.
kneel humbly,
beowulf.
let the sword cut down
first the monster
then the mother
then the dragon
then the reader
then yourself,
beautiful wolf.
