back to schoolios tommorow! :'(either way, I was so horribly tired yesterday that i nearly fell asleep at work cos they made me watch some training DVD (which was possibly the most poorly acted out piece of educational documentary i've seen) it was about underage drinking and how you 'MUST ASK FOR I.D'.It all seemed a bit ironic seeing as i was smashed the night before (albeit legally) but hey. I find it quite disturbing that someone is always sick when we go out drinking... :S. (it's only been me twice...rock on...)but either way it normally just means that i have to play Doctor and look after for them. Much like my own GP, i was pretty drunk though. What was even more hilarious was that said sick child had to drive back home the next day when he was still blatantly over the alcohol limit. LUCKILY nothing happened. but yes, it could've...Twas his idea to only allow us to drink spirits though, so it's his own fault :P

A few days ago, I had one of those "sick" days and rolled into school after second period. We had a lab in class, and despite the fact that there were people around me (some friends, some acquaintances), I felt like a stick figure wandering the class room. Lunch was right after it, but I wasn't hungry. So I stepped outside, lay in one of the benches and listened to Kid A.And I wrote:"Drugged"A gloomy hippie lays in the sun on a courtyard bench eating her day dreams fed by sleepwalkers. Sniff up a load and let go of their hands. Can you float in midair and still look under your feet?Forget that it has drug references. That's not the point (although many people seem to find it to be). It was one of those lethargic days that just seem to happen.P.S. I toasted myself in the sun for 30 minutes that day. Thank god my skin's dark enough that I don't get sunburned that easily :P.*Image Credit to: mistyblissRead more…

It’s Saturday night and I’m home alone. The weather is nice. I should go for another bike ride. I have been feeling way out of shape lately. This is not good. It’s my fault. I’ve been letting myself go a little.I was writing about a friendship that hit the skids after I read something they posted on their myspace page. It’s not my battle. It stinks people live such cloistered lives. Why do people wish they could be in that snowglobe? I don’t get it. When asking for someone’s opinion, you should honor it, not go on a tear and try to destroy them.I just found out about a show at a cool record store in Doylestown on the 25th. Paint It Black and Cloak/Dagger at Siren Records. Paint It Black put out an explosive album and their live show should not be missed.I was looking through an old music magazine earlier this afternoon. Kris Roe, the singer of the Ataris revealed that his bands album “So Long, Astoria” is pretty much based on the concept of Richard Hell’s book “Go Now”. Kris said “There’s a chapter where Richard says “The memories are better than life.” Each day, he tries to produce memories for his life, and I’m just trying to go out and have the time of my life.” I thought that was interesting. Often people think it’s strange that I remember a lot of random, not too important stuff. I listened to that album and after reading the interview, I like it a lot more. Memory is important to me, as it should be for everyone.Alright. It’s time to relax. I’ll talk to you soon.Take care, OK?

On my quest I would stop at the mcdonalds and speak on the talkboard at night when it was more dangerous to travel.I sometimes have difficulty seeing in darkness and am not like a dog which can and does bite me,or wolfkind ,or even of the cat breed. They all see very well at night and I do not.I see a little better than human, but In the woods that is not good enough to be safe when you are wee and travel through woodlands. So at night the nice ladies of the talkboard would speak with me.They were brave as even the males among them ignored me in fear.Only a few males were brave early on. Now they are being braver and are also nice. They did speak to me and listen to my tale of woe. They were understanding even though it was their human leader Thom Yorkie that did wrong me.I asked most if they perchance be a shy female leprechaun but though most had qualities .(stayed indoors, were short, liked rainbows, liked to sing as they walked) they were not fully leprechaun kind. One was a gnome lady named Allyson, one was a witch named Glenda, there was a friend of harry potters named N.tonky, there be a fairy girl named Emily, There also be two fish ladies i met recently named Solitaryrose and Sirenesea. There was also other nice ones such as Dreamsie and of course Palmer who seems interested in my tales and ways. Also I will mention thanks to the Dizzy girl , K D em, 3 and the one known as strack. Most already be friends here in my fellowship of those friendly to leprechauns. If you be wise you should meet these ladies on the board as they are good friends to me.Thry have not the fear of talking to one who may be crazy or new. Many nights of waiting for the sun has been joyful because of these and others who I may have forgotten. I thank ye ladies of the board for being brave and speaking to one such as I.-Corny

Regarding the Toronto date (Aug 15, 2008), the tickets were all sold out when they officially went on sale. At least three scalper sites had tix for this event up a week before the tickets were put up for sale. Very disappointing.

Well, we were really looking forward to seeing Elbow and after a few pre - gig beers in Zerodegrees, then a very good bottled beer in the bar at Colston Hall we went in to see the support band 'Two Gallants' who were well worth listening to, (a kind of 'White Stripes' comparison could be made here) and managed to be near the front for when Elbow came on.I loved the new songs from 'The Seldom Seen Kid'. 'Starlings' was a brilliant start to the evening. The band were relaxed and looked to be really having fun with it. They played 'Grounds For Divorce' with it's rocky feel' 'The Bones of you', 'Mirrorball' and 'Fugative Motel', one of my favourites, amongst others; all fantastic and I loved the audience participation invited for 'On A Day Like This' and for the last song of the evening 'Grace Under Pressure'; an old favourite from 'Cast of Thousands'. More singing along only much louder. I was pleased to notice the wide age range of fans joining in enthusiastically.Guy Garvey was as ever in fine voice and really chatty throughout the evening and interacted with the crowd, many of whom are loyal fans. Anyone who follows his radio show on BBC 6 music will be familiar with his warm sense of humour, which he could be more free with without the constraints of broadcasting protocol. Loved your joke Guy, but I can't repeat it here.Although Elbow are noted for the melancholy feel of their music, you will always leave their gigs with a warm feeling and it's good to know that Guy and the band are back on the road again.
