Hello all,
It seems a lot of you are unsure of how this whole presale thing is going to go down. While I can't provide complete solid details, I can give you an idea of what may or may not happen based on September's Roseland Ballroom presale.
First of all, saying the tickets are on sale on W.A.S.T.E is deceiving--it may lead you to think that they'll be available in one of three places: 1) the tickets section of the W.A.S.T.E. Corner Store on W.A.S.T.E. Central
2) the Tour section of W.A.S.T.E. (tab at the top of the page) or
3) the ticket sales section of the the W.A.S.T.E. shop here: http://thomyorketickets.waste.uk.com/Store/DisplayItems.html
In the case of the Roseland Ballroom shows, all three places were INCORRECT. Instead, they were available at radiohead.com/tourdates; you simply had to go there and click on the date of the concert you wanted to go, and then try and check out from there.
My recommendation would be to keep all 4 of these windows open on Wednesday morning, continually refreshing them. However, I wouldn't be surprised if they released tickets in the same way they did for Roseland, on radiohead.com/tourdates, so I'd make that a priority for checking.
Now, for the matter of what time they'll be available. I stayed up the entire night waiting for presale tickets, since I had heard that in the past they've been made available in the wee hours of the morning. However, they didn't go live until a little after 10 am EST, and unfortunately, I was unable to purchase them since I was expecting tickets to be available on one of the W.A.S.T.E. related sites, NOT radiohead.com/tourdates.
So in conclusion: make sure you check the four places I listed above and you can stay up all night if you want to (i can't confirm whether or not they'll be available at some obscure time or not), but the last presale went live at 10 am.
Happy ticket hunting!
As I type these words, TicketsNow.com (A re-selling tickets site owned by Ticketmaster) is selling you the opportunity to be linked with a seller that guarantees to provide you with authentic tickets to any of the 10 Radiohead shows in 2012.
I know Ticketmaster/Live Nation is a monopoly and all but WTF!!!!
I didn't think they could get away with selling something to the General Public BEFORE Saturday November 12 @ 10AM.
I tried to use TicketsNow to get tickets for the Roseland Ballroom NYC shows and it was a such a GIGANTIC NIGHTMARE of shady activity that I vowed to never use them again.
As for the Paranoid Androids among us I'd start checking the Radiohead tour dates page now and keep checking non stop for the next 21 hours.
I am Citizen Insane-
friends and fellow RH fans -
it seems that some of you have the info on this presale and as i am eagerly searching trying to figure it out - i cant ! I'm a massive RH fan and definitely want to get in on this presale so im not stuck buying overpriced tickets from scalpers as i had to in the past - NO FUN ! - please send me an email to chi.hoosier@gmail.com with any info on the presale and it would be GREATLY appreciated ! i owe you everything that i have ! RESPECT !
I'm really new to waste central but I've been a member of w.a.s.t.e. for a long time. I find it highly disturbing that people are being so stingy with details on the presale. This hasn't affected me personally yet because they haven't released any dates in my area so far but I have to say isn't this supposed to be a COMMUNITY?! Aren't we all here because we love this band? Shouldn't we help each other out? I understand the fears of not getting tickets and the site crashing but as an earlier post stated we are a very small community and not all of us are going to be trying for the same show tickets.
Honestly this selfishness has left a bad taste in my mouth for fellow Radiohead fans. When and if I am able to go to a show I'll find myself looking around wondering to myself which one of these people is a selfish bastard who wouldn't give out information to their fellow die hard fans, especially the first timers. It's not anyone's fault for not knowing if they haven't had a chance to go. I've never gone because I've never before been in a financial situation where I could afford the tickets and the one time I got my hands on some I had to sell them because one of my best friends was killed in a car crash that week.
If you know how to get the presale tickets and are holding that knowledge to yourself then I hope you're able to look at yourself in the mirror and sleep soundly knowing that you could've helped a fellow comrade and instead chose to be selfish and only think of yourself.
This is a perfect example of whats wrong with society today, no one tries to help each other out, people only look out for number one. Way to go, I'm sure the band would be very proud of you.
Dear fellow Radiohead fans, I can no longer stand the not-knowing. How can I get 2 tickets? Please someone reassure me. I've been a loyal fan since the early 90s. I can post a picture of my original cassette of The Bends as proof if you'd like. If someone could give me some info to help me on my way to my first show I'd be forever grateful. Thank you.
ive purchased tickets the last few tours. the reason everyone is sketchy about details is they want to get tickets for presale.
a)site will crash.
b)you will get cranky.
c)you may get lucky.
d)don't count on it.
e)they won't tell you presale time for these resasons.
What time Wednesday do the tickets go on sale?
Scott
Go see Radiohead ! Join W.A.S.T.E. and get the tickets before they go on sale. I can't wait ! Follow me !
No bastard child.
