Era 19 de Agosto.... llevábamos casi 1 semana con la noticia de que los boletos se venderían el miércoles 19 de agosto a las 11 de la mañana por ticketmaster (y claro Waste) así que todos estábamos más que preparados mentalmente para comprarlos ese día... con tanto tiempo esperando lo menos que podríamos esperar es que los boletos se terminaran en poco tiempo.Por mi parte la mayor preocupación era encontrar la ubicación que quería... ya que ya los he visto en vivo (ha sido uno de los mejores días) ahora lo que quiero es volver a escucharlos y verlos hacer lo suyo.En otras ocasiones también había hecho algo parecido, pero nunca, NUNCA!, me había tocado que la pantalla para comprar los boletos me dijera... "tiempo de espera 15 min o más".... QUE!!!!··$%& eso sí que no lo podía creer, porque en el minuto 0 de las 11am ya estaba comprando boletos... en fin, creí que en 15 min me tocaría.... cuenta regresiva... 14, 13,12.....10...8, 7,6.....5.... 7, 8..11..15 o más.... qUE??!!!! otra vez no!!!! en fin, así estuve facilmente 30minutos, para que al final me dijera... lo sentimos... ya no hay esos lugares.... Durante ese tiempo, recordé que tenía la opción de Waste y que mucha gente ni sabría de su existencia, así que entré... me fijé y aún decía que había.. le di click a "add" y.... sucede que SOLD OUT.... no lo podía creer... ahora sí me quedé fuera... en verdad que no lo podía creer... hasta mandé un mensaje de auxilio a un amigo que podría ayudar... pero nada....Llamé a mi hermana para contarle la mala suerte...no contestó... unos minutos después marca... Ella está escuchando la radio y me dice que a las 12 abren una segunda fecha... tuve que colgar pues solo faltaban 2 minutos... Efectivamente!! una segunda fecha!!! BIEN!!! una segunda oportunidad.Le doy buscar y ahora viene la palabra de seguridad.. CHIN!! dice que no esta bien, intenta de nuevo... otra vez.. CHIN!! de los nervios no me sale... pero por fin, la tercera fue la vencida.... ahora vuelvo a buscar.... otra espera... igual de larga.... creí que me pasaría lo mismo que antes... pero NO! ahora sí.. luego de 40min por fin encontró el boleto que pedí... BIEN! ahora sí... puedo descansar e irme a comer a gusto....Imaginen la cantidad de personas que habrán entrado al sistema al mismo tiempo.. y bueno, por ahí me dijeron que hasta acamparon en algunas taquillas... que locura!!!Ahora me doy cuenta que todavía hay boletos, pero de los que ya nadie quizo... o bueno, eso fue el mismo día por la noche... hoy, 2 días después no sé que haya a la venta....

A good friend of mine is a glass jewelry maker, she is struggling making ends meet like most. This year I am going to buy gifts made by local artists, not mass production crap. I have a history of getting and giving a lot of crap. Other self improvements = I am no longer using plastic bags,I have started to carry clothe ones in my already large purse.Yesterday was a whirlwind, two sick kids. Lots of vomit. Today is much better,happy little people, time for a second cup of coffee and waste blog, it is a good day. Oh yes the sun is also out, I need the sun. My hope is that others have a day like this.

so i quit smoking again..and i'm on day five. It's not so bad, i'm chewing the gum. But I still have moments of wanting to kill people....they should just find a way to make smoking not harmful...at least I can ride for longer times than I could. I can already tell a difference with that.it's a slow day at work again.... At least no one is threating me today and i'm totally going home to play Animal Crossing...so much fun.

Kids used to watch it before going to bed (it was scheduled just before the evening news program). The heroes of the show were a bear & two kids called Pimprenelle and Nicolas. Nicolas is also the first name of the actual French President, whose main opponent is Segolene Royal. The "Pimprenelle et Nicolas" Cantat is singing about are Royal and Sarkozy, and brings up the reference of an old TV show conditionning children to bed, probably to enhance the idea of lulling us.(2) Couldn't translate this any better... It's not really putting the screws but rather tightening their grip.(3) This part is about immigration (easy to understand), but you need to take a look at the French government's politics concerning immigration these last few years (chosen immigration and suchlike, I'll let you google it).(4) Bad translation for this line as I have not been able to understand properly what is meant here.(5) Translation problem here too. "On n'arrête pas le progrès" is a common way in French to talk about an evolution leading to a more scientific world, but is also very commonly used with irony, about something inducing a trivial progress. Different ways to read the line, and translation is problematic here too.Definitely not the best Cantat text I have read. It's far from the quality of their album "Des visages, Des figures" - btw, how can you translate this title without losing the pun ? - which is, imho, one of the best things they have managed to do so far. Hey EveryoneI have never really done an on line diary before but it might be fun you knowI currently live in Perth Australia and i am Moving to Oxford England i April to persue my passion for drumming i am currently gigging like a fucking monkey testical but i still feel like i am getting no where, so the move to England seems like the logical thing to do, also i am english and have a british passport so i find that rather cool as well seeing how hard things seem to be in getting anywhere these days because of all the threats against our country and such, any ways i started in this new band this week after playing in the same band for three years and earning a fuck load of money i decided to change bands and do something differant.In Australia and in particualy Perth the biggest thing to do is to go and see a cover band and go and see the same stupid fucking songs done by 20 differant bands and see what they are doing better than each other, i played in a band that didnt want to play all the same shit as everyone else so we did our own thing and where did it get us? well im glad you aske fucking no where, the music scene is soooooo closed minded here if you throw something a little differant at them and they have heard it before mind you (on the radio) they still ask for the same shit that everyone else plays its fucked. So after playing shitty clubs and pubs and fucking 5 star hotels i have decided to come back home and start something fresh, i can play a mean drum set and i really enjoy what i do so i know i will be fine there, just might need to do the same thing there for a while to keep the pennys up but as soon as i have the oppotunity to sink my teeth into a project that i deem fit in the UK it will be game onThis week my gigs are:Wednesday night (threeplay) The PaddoThursday night (DCB) The PaddoFriday afternoon (threeplay) The SaintFriday night (DCB) WoodvaleSaturday night (DCB) MustangWell if anyone reads this apart from me that would be a little cool, i love radiohead as well they inspire me to go on, i have just read Radiohead. One of the many books that has been written on the group and throughout the time that the band has spent time together they have done things the wat that they wanted to do them and in a time where you dont say no to a record label you have to have balls to do what they do, even with there music it is what they want to write and it is what they want to preform, i have been a session drummer for nearly 5 years playing everyone elses shit that everyone else wants to listen to and one day i want to look back at the work i have done and be happy with what i put together.Miikey D14/11/08

feeling a tad lonely, a tad off. every girl gets this bad, ugly feeling. wishing that there is a shoulder i can rest my head on for just a bit. or someone with whom silence means freedom.after the oct 2 show in japan, i met another fan, at some random bar. he seemed to be that shoulder, to be that silence, play that role then. Never have i felt as special or as present, or as real as that night. suppose i was functioning better that time, was more logical then than now because i decided it was a one night only special. didn't give him my number, didn't give him my email. didn't ask for his.and now, deadlines later, here i am feeling as lonely as a b list prom reject, wondering if he thinks about me, as well. egotisical much? i suppose so. i don't know what i want, really. if i want anything from him. if it's him i'm really wanting or just that feeling he made me feel, for the very first time, that night. if all i'm craving for his the idea of him.could he be here as well? could he be reading this too? now i'm just being a wide-eyed high school freshman. haha my, i don't even remember when exactly that wide-eyed wonder closed her eyes in defeat. i'm just throwing this thing--whatever this is--out there, in here, so that maybe the universe may hear.
