poem.

it is afterwards
and you walk on tiptoe
happy to be part
of the darkness
lips becoming limp
a prelude to tiredness.

Comeclose and Sleepnow
for in the morning
when a policeman
disguised as the sun
creeps into the room
and your mother
disguised as birds
calls from the trees

you will put on a dress of guilt
and shoes with broken high ideals
and refusing coffee
run
alltheway

Sometimes there is no time.

It's not about age. Or experience. It's about awareness. I am the same me that I was on the day I looked in that mirror in my first grade classroom and felt astonished to see a little kid staring back. I think about how things feel. Good things and bad. And realize that I may not have always experienced them the same way, but the things themselves were always there. Most of my values are the same too. So many things are happening simultaneously. When you deconstruct time, you can live with less regret. You might realize that you actually didn't miss that opportunity to chase adventure. Or take a class. Or immerse yourself in obsessions over music and art. Or simply and crucially, to apologize. There are times when I become acutely aware that twenty years ago is happening side by side with last week. Being a teenager in a band in 1980 coexists with being the parent of teenagers in 2010. I am the same person. I believe in the same things. And yes, kids, I seek out many of the same thrills--spiritual, intellectual, emotional and physical. Maybe even more. So don't be afraid to ask about how things were when I was your age; I can tell you easily because I'm still there. Ignore the lie that so many of my chronies (chronologically similar people, that is) seem to put forth, though not always through their words. That they don't approve. That they had no fun. And most of all, that you should be afraid. Yes, afraid--not merely cautious or even just considerate of their fears. The exact time of life that you are in now will also be occurring when you are a senior citizen, hanging out in the comfort of your bed, listening to Radiohead and getting high. You might even have more time to really get it.

i think i'm developing an obsession
that brought me here
i just cant get enough of his head
how can every word fit so perfectly into my world how can his thoughts be in such tune
he triggers my mind
setting it free
giving my feelings
a channel to grow into developed emotions
he puts the world in front of me
and takes the blindfold
i wish i could talk with you
this is me trying and i suck
will i ever?
i love the immortal you
and the effect it has on me
it blows my mind the thought of what you could do if you were closer
im totally devoted

rude.

I'm totally speechless. I haven't seen anything like this on TV before and... well, see for yourselves. It's just shocking how teenagers can have such a bad attitude against people. I mean, my parents raised me to be polite and nice first of all to adults and older people, but also against... well, people in general. These girls apparently haven't been raised at all and their parents were past out during their childhood.

All I can do is shake my head and wonder what the hell is wrong with some people. I mean, telling a whole audience to shut up isn't normal anywhere. And then when one of the judges is giving them some critique, one of the girls asks the judge "And who are you?!" Well... I'm beyond angry. It's just sick. I'm going to do the best I can and a little more, to prevent my children from becoming like that.

Hey guys! Since we all have nothing to do but to patiently await the release of the new and highly-anticipated follow-up to In Rainbows, it seems necessary for us all to get our fix by indulging ourselves in all things Radiohead. Listening to Radiohead (as you might always find me doing) is sometimes not enough... so as it goes, a group of fans teamed up and has managed to put together the complete Prague show from August 23, 2009 (wished I was there)... and has released it as a free download to the rest of us fans from all over the world!

As it reads on the website: "On 23rd August 2009 a group of Radiohead fans descended on the Výstaviště Holešovice Exhibition Hall in Prague on a mission - to capture the band playing using as many different angles as possible. Bringing together the exceptional talents of many contributors. Here is the result."

You can find the downloadable film on this link: http://radiohead-prague.nataly.fr/Main.html

Reminder: STRICTLY NOT FOR SALE - BY THE FANS FOR THE FANS. PLEASE SHARE AND ENJOY.

It's worth noting a small but important note found below the setlist which you can see on the website: "Audio masters kindly provided by the band"

Wow! They still love us.

Saludos!
