Getting in the spirit of the holidays, giving [and the Old West] are The Killers, who just released a single titled 'The Cowboys' Christmas Ball.' While the video for the song is anything but old-timey, the song itself is very festive and upbeat. Full of bells, twangy country guitars [and robots] the video for the song tells the story of one of the most random holiday parties ever to be seen.

The video could have easily been directed by Les Claypool himself considering all the weird and highly imaginative elements thrown in, but perhaps we will see something similar  from him in the near future. Still got 24 days to go...

This latest diddy along with The Killers five other Christmas related songs are being sold together on iTunes to benefit the charity (RED). In this case, giving also lets you receive.

Have a gander at the video on the ol' interweb HERE.

Foster The People Climb Machu Picchu [MUSIC]

Foster The People recently hopped across the pond for a special live radio appearance on BBC's famed Radio 1 Live Lounge. Artists on the show are often asked to cover songs they find interesting, and this visit was no different. Taking an unexpected stab at The Strokes' 'Machu Picchu' the result was a sort of poppy, synth-laden disco version. While the overall structure of the song is not much different--nor the vocals--The People still got the toes tapping. There was a significant addition of drums to the track which worked out in my opinion.

Have a listen and decide which one captures the spirit of the ancients better.

Kentucky natives' My Morning Jacket have beeen enjoying basking in the limelight of primetime television as of late. Showing up on such shows as The Vampire Diaries, it makes sense that Jim James & Co. would want to stay up even later, skip the sappy romance dialouge and get straight to rocking out late-night audiences. Case in point? They just showcased a couple songs from their new hit album Circuital on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night.

MMJ performed 'Outta My System' which very ironically preaches the pitfalls of drugs with such notions as smoking will land you in prison or force you to steal cars. Although if Pizza Hut closes in fifteen minutes, what other choice do you have?!

Their second choice 'First Light' is slightly more poignant and existential despite such simplistic lyrics. It deals more with the nature of first experiences and looking back through life from various perspectives while trying to find meaning and purpose. Pretty deep stuff.

Have a look and a listen below:

Description

Let me be clear this doesn't have an end date its eternal!

Forgiveness is the most important aspect of humanity that we can give action to. I challenge everybody to find the courage, confidence, and love within themselves. And with this love forgive yourselves so you can forgive others around you. You have to forgive yourselves first, otherwise the love within can flow correctly. It has pure intentions and goals, but by us keeping it hidden, it can't grow where we can see it, feel it, know it, be it, and live it.

The experiment is to forgive one person or fear at a time each day. If you want to forgive more than one so be it.

The goal is to create a list, not the names or anything private, but to create a list that we can see. All of us.

Need a single ticket for Atlanta

Hello Friends -

"Meeting People with an extra ticket isn't easy"

Ticketmaster botched our order, so I'm lacking one ticket for the March 1st Atlanta show.

If you have an extra, doesn't matter what the seat is, I'll take it as long as it's at face value.

I really appreciate you taking the time to read this!

Take care,

Andrew
