Ok computer 15y Tribute - Brazil

Diesel Pop Drink - Lucky - "Ok Computer" tribute from DieselPopDrink on Vimeo.

Since we formed Diesel Pop Drink back in 2010, our largest common
influence has always been Radiohead. And when 2012 first arrived, it
became clear that it was almost a duty for us to pay tribute to the
15th anniversary of the album that is deemed as one of the most
important albums of alternative rock and the '90s (and also of our own
lives): OK Computer.

Our concert brings back the classic songs and the complex sounds of
the original album, and we decided to perform it in its entirety and
with minimal pre-recorded sounds. Even 'Fitter Happier' is not merely
boiled down to a sample: we decided to recreate the layers and give
the audience an opportunity to understand what happens behind its
sound waves.

After months of hard work, we now have the chance to present the
Brazilian fans with this tribute to such a special album. We've done a
preview in a studio, with a small audience (see an excerpt video attached) and now we are bringing this show to other houses here in
São Paulo. And why not, perhaps even to other cities and states.

Nosso show resgata as canções antológicas e os timbres complexos do

The Raveonettes have been working with producer Richard Gottehrer (Blondie, Go-Go’s) on their sixth record, and today the first single from the new album, Observator, emerged. The spacious, haunting track is called [interestingky enough] 'Observations' -- a piano-led cut that explores echoey textures. You really get a sense of the band's spatial awareness. Grab it below.

Album is out Sept. 11th on Vice Records. Check their tour dates too and show some love when in town:

Tour Dates:
09/21 – Portland, OR @ Hawthorne Theatre

A day after The Antlers teased their forthcoming Undersea EP with the lush ethereal jam 'Drift Dive', the trio unleashed another cut called 'Crest' [this morning to be specific]. It’s a somewhat glitchy, sample-laden affair that explores similar sonic territory as 'Drift Dive'. Remember the underwater dystopia from the first Bioshock game? Their audio newness would be a perfect addition to the soundtrack exploring the ruined town (as opposed to the scenes where mutants try to claw your face off).

Undersea is out 7/24 in the U.S. on Anti- and 7/30 in the UK on Transgressive.

Tracklist:
01. Drift Dive
02. Endless Ladder
03. Crest
04. Zelda

Mexico´s people is almost free of years of oppression..

The next July 1st, people is going to decide their future. Finally, we have a good candidate for the precedence of Mexico. Andrés Manuel López Obrador, who is fighting against a small group of rich and corrupt people who have been doing whatever they want under a mask made of fake democracy, when the truth is that they don't care about nothing but money, no matter the people, the earth, the future...

Im not sure, but I have the feeling that radiohead is aware of the situation... I will show you a couple of pictures from Coachella 2012, weekend 2. they are wearing two México´s flags at their gear box, just next to the Tibet flag (left). If this is true, THANKS FOR THAT GUYS!

I have the feeling that this is the opportunity, things are changing in Mexico, people has awakened :)

This is a link of international news that the local TV companies (monopolies) doesn't show in Mexico. Fortunately, other countries like England is publishing it... amazing isn't it?

The guardian: News about corruption of the group of power controlling México since 1929

Thanks too everyone for your time of reading.

P.S. I support the candidate because I have read about everyone and Im convinced about him, however, I respect any opinion.

Hippodrome Capanelle

-

Parco delle Cascine

Arena Parco Nord

Villa Manin

Wulheide

Wulhedie

Carriere des Andonces

-

ライブの再開はLes Arenes Nimes(フランス 7/10)、Bilbao BBK festival(スペイン 7/13)、

Lisbon Optimus Alive festival(ポルトガル 7/15)を予定している。

Hello everyone,

As you will probably have heard the roof over the stage collapsed at our show in Toronto killing crew member Scott Johnson and injuring three other crew members. The collapse also destroyed the light show – this show was unique and will take many weeks to replace. The collapse also caused serious damage to our backline, some elements of which are decades old and therefore hard to replace.

-

Whilst we all are dealing with the grief and shock ensuing from this terrible accident there are also many practical considerations to deal with & consequently we have to try and reschedule the following shows:

-

June

30 Roma Hippodrome Capanelle

-

July

1 Firenze Parco delle Cascine

3 Bologna Arena Parco Nord

4 Codroipo Villa Manin

6 Berlin Wulheide

7 Berlin Wulhedie

9 St Triphon Carriere des Andonces

-

We aim to announce the new dates for these shows on Wednesday 27th of June and will also supply information on how to obtain refunds on tickets if you cannot come to the show on the new date.

-

We will start playing live again at Les Arenes Nimes, Bilbao BBK festival and Lisbon Optimus Alive festival.

-

We will make every effort to offer the fans the very best show possible under the circumstances – thanks for your understanding and support.

Once again the mindFaiz Ahmed FaizToday, as usual, the mind goes hunting for a wordsultry with honey, heavy with love, smashing with fury. The word of love must be brilliant as a glancewhich greets the eye like a kiss on the lips, bright as a summer river streaming goldjoyous as the moment when the beloved enters for the appointed meeting. The word of rage must be a ferocious bladethat brings down for all time the oppressor's citadel. The word must be darkas the night of a crematorium;if I bring it to my lips it will blacken them forever. Today every instrument is forsaken by its melody, and the singer's voice goes searching for its singer. Today the chords of every harp are shredded like a madman's shirt. Todaythe people beg each gust of windto bring any sound at all, even a lamentation, even a scream of anguish, or the last trump crying the hour of doom.

healing thoughts

I am still devastated by the unbelievable events on saturday. This would have been my very first Radiohead concert. I had been counting down the days for months. Following along everyday with the tour, watching footage and getting more and more excited. Saturday morning i was absolutely ecstatic with the thought that this time I would be apart of the audience. The tragic outcome of the day is so so painful. I will continue to offer my love and prayers for everyone affected, the entire Radiohead family. I hope I may still get the chance to experience the joy and beauty of seeing Radiohead perform one day.

Peace, healing thoughts, and love always.

Mr. Scott Johnson....

You were someone's son. You may have been someones brother, uncle, husband, father or best friend. You were a co-worker to some very special people. You were very integral in the joy I received from the March 1, 2012 concert here in Atlanta. You were a member of the "Radiohead Family". I pray you were living your dream! I pray your friends and family rejoice that you were in their lives. I thank you for helping me and so many others enjoy the gift of music from the bands who had the honor and privilege to work with you. Peace to you and yours.

Tragic Toronto Show

I just got back from the complete nightmare that was the Radiohead show in Toronto. I witnessed the mess that occurred when we all realized that, not only had the show been cancelled, but that the stage had collapsed and that someone had died.

First off, rest in peace, Scott. His family and Radiohead have suffered the loss of a friend and great crew member. I hope that peace will come to them, too.

My friend and I got to Downsview Park at around 9am. They were numbering us in the order of our arrival so that entry would be fair. We were #122 and 123. Out of 44,000, that was pretty good. Obviously we were both very excited. After all, we had driven 8 hours to see this show! I saw Radiohead for the first time about a week and a half ago at Bonnaroo (amazing). It was my friend's first time. We waited for what seemed like forever (but really was 7 hours) before they started to line us up.

At around 4pm, some commotion started to go through the crowd. We were standing next to some smart-phone wielding Canadians. Twitter was reporting that the stage had collapsed.  We hadn't heard anything destructive, so we assumed it was a minor issue; a pole had snapped.  We were bracing for a delay and more waiting. Then word got out that three people were hurt. Then a picture came up. What we saw was shocking--the entirety of the roof of the stage had caved. I was trying to remain optimistic, but it was clearthat the damage was devastating, and not likely to be fixed in the near future. Those stages are set up days in advance. Still, we stayed in line in hopes that everything would work out. Cancellation rumors were growing on social media.

Unfortunately, around 4:30pm, security started coming around and shouting "The show's been cancelled. Please go home." My friend and I stood completely frozen, mouths agape. This was the worst possible thing that could have happened. Our trip, which we had been anticipating for months, was now shot to shit. We weren't going to see Radiohead. Immense disappointment and frustration lingered. But mostly it was shock. I hugged a girl who was queuing in front of me and was sharing her phone for information. It was going to be her first Radiohead show. As we walked out, I saw so much disbelief and anger.  One man dropped to his knees and wept. It was one of the clearest moments of realization of how much this band means to its fans.

We were back at our car, calling our friends and family to let them know that we were okay. It was during a phone conversation with my father that a fan had walked by and told us, "Someone died." I couldn't believe it. Again, a complete nightmare. While we were standing in excitement, someone had lost their life in the background.

We sat in the car for a little while, waiting for the crowds to dissipate. Tears were shed. We had put so much time and money into this experience, and were devastated at the loss of it. But I was even more upset that this was the way that it happened. It would be one thing if Thom had lost his voice or if their tour bus had broken down somewhere. Destruction and death ruined this show instead. It was all just so, so unbelievably sad.

On our way home, we realized something sobering: we were at the front of the line, and were going to be in one of the first groups to be let onto the field. If we had been let in, we would have been under that rubble. We could be the ones still in the Toronto hospital. We could be dead. So could anyone else on the crew, or Caribou, or Radiohead. We were very fortunate that there was not more devastation than there already was. At that point I was counting my lucky stars.

I guess we're a very sad part of Radiohead history. Hopefully they'll be able to pull through as a team and continue on the stellar tour that they've been putting on up to this point.
