Closer is Never Near Enough.
I want to climb inside...
into your mouth,
down your throat
to make my home
in your heart.
And to sleep in your
dreams.
I suppose a song shall do
for now.
I'll climb inside
And hide in the sound
of your heart.
Basically my friend entrusted me the very grave duty of buying her a ticket for London on October 9th and in my eagerness to succeed I horribly and terribly spent 74 great pounds sterling of her money on a seat in the lower tier, when I and everyone else has a standing ticket bought in the pre-sale (won't go into details failing to justify myself; ticketmaster is a cruel master).
Does anyone know of anyway I can rectify this, apart from offering myself as a swap (this is my last resort), or are there any people going to this gig alone that are standing and would be happy to trade for a seat in the lower tier and a portion of extra cash on the side???
Thank you for your gracious time, I will be happy for any of your wise advice, apart from to go stick my head down a toilet.
Just saw this post on Radiohead's twitter page, from a few hours ago - so not sure if it's still valid, but worth a try!
"UK tour update: full price tickets are now gone, but some lower priced seats have just been released:
I would like to request for Radiohead to play blowout acoustic. Please, I would appreciate it, Yorke's voice is unreal when he sings that version. I love you guys, your awesome!
Hey everyone. I was lucky enough to buy tickets on the pre-sale but still havent heard how they work. It says will call on the receipt but not sure when we can pick them up. How has this experience worked for others at the earlier shows?
This pre-sale BS sucks!! I never ever get through. :(( Anyone have 2 seated tickets to the tinley park gig June 10 for sale? email me at wln_80@yahoo.com please. Thanks!!

I recall a time when once Radiohead seemed to be the last true full scale, touring, millions selling progressive rock band and with this, humble, self effacing and concerned only with the music. In recent years it has been a pleasure to see them embrace the praise and status which they have, i have no doubt, worked exceptionally hard to gain.
I sit here now typing this, waiting for a ticket website to confirm card details to purchase a ticket for the manchester date of the 2012 tour. I have been doing this (watching a wheel comprising of dots spinning around) for nearly two hours now! Whilst i appreciate the band themselves do not own nor run the site in question and therefore can't really do anything about it i still feel justified, having been given a platform to do so, in expressing my problems/gripes with this situation.
1) The astronomical price hike in comparison to the In Rainbows tour prices, close to twice as much! Why? what is it that in the bands attitude, ethos?, choice of venue, management or overall output has led this to be the case?
2) Methods of buying tickets. At this price you expect not to be caused such levels of stress ( i assure you when buying for others as well as yourself the thought of letting them down is very stressful indeed!) Of couse the scale of such tours/events bears a great relevance on the options that are open to bands and festival organisers but does anyone remember catching a bus to your nearest independent record store and purchasing gig tickets over the counter? or even a time when internet purchasing was considerably easier, regardless of the scale of event? It strikes me the major problem is surplus tickets being bought up by touts and those who seek to profiteer from the popularity of such bands and the dedication of the fans. Nothing new here but it has truly reached a peak of insanity! when people are willing to pay £1500 to see the likes of The Stone Roses play a greatist hits set, something really needs to be done about this. More gigs across smaller venues?
It does not pleasure me to say such things in fact it makes me feel old and miserable and negative but as a musician and music lover i rarely concern myself with bands/gigs who operate at this level so it's a shame that when i do it leads me to such levels of frustration, anger and even sadness that i may never again!....It's eleven o,clock, the wheel's still spinning and i am no closer to having purchased a ticket!!!
This is a pretty good article and explanation about the slimy life of a ticket scalper (broker). The average fan can't compete with someone who has 50 computers set up in his or her office--slamming the WASTE site when tickets go on sale:
Then many of these scalpers sell the tickets to "authorized resellers" who mark them up--way up. You can already see that sites like Vividseats.com are charging up to $470.00 for one ticket! And other sites have a bunch of tickets that went on sale today. Radiohead tickets have not even gone on sale through Ticketmaster yet.
I've been to many concerts in my life time and I have never seen scalping this bad--out in plain sight.
Something has to be done.
value
anyone who is going to be london tickets tmorrow morning, do you now how many you can buy at any one time? is it 2 or 4?
Anyone with 2 presale seats that wants to trade for my 2 floor tickets?
booo
how much for the tickets in 22 or 26 are they transferable?
We saw Radiohead last night @ the sold-out Frank Erwin Center show in Austin. The performance was great but our seats pretty much sucked, up and to the side of the stage. (Section 77, row 17) The movable "floating" monitors more often than not blocked our view of the band. And there were clearly a lot of people that had an even worse view!
I feel like many of us in the audience were sold tickets that should not have been sold to anyone. From where we sat it looked like the maximum "decent" viewing angle was not all that wide--could this stage set have been designed with outdoor amphitheaters in mind rather than arenas like this? That would be odd since it looks like there are a lot of arenas on their itinerary.
Positive note: the sound was much better than expected, all things considered. And the band played great. We just couldn't see them half the time.
Got 2 tickets that I can't use for the Cuyahoga Falls show on 6/6; they'll either be in section 22 or 26......anyone interested?
really sucked tryn to get presale tickets this morning, now i have to wait till sat . glad i signed up on waste what a waste

I'm hoping to bring my son for his first Radiohead experience. I know that he is going to be blown away. I doubly excited 'cause I remember how awesome and intense the previous two tours were.
