Visited mine last weekend... Ended up in the attic rummaging through boxes from forgotten times and... got back home with some reaaaaallly nice vinyls... amongst others Pink Floyd, Serge Gainsbourg, Django Reinhardt and even a promotional disc from a shitty beer brand with classical music on it ! Can't wait to hear it all... I'm such a lucky child...

You call it “teamwork,” and there’s no denying it boosts productivity, but that’s not your motivation. At some fundamental human level, you want the people who are happier than you to dial it back a notch. It’s in your DNA. Sometimes you’re not good people.

Cable channel IFC in the is airing In Rainbows on its IN THE BASEMENT program a few times this month. I think is on the 19th two or three times and Meeting People is on the 13th and the 18th. Not sure of the times. I will tivo both. Hope this helps make someones day. Let me know. It has been a long time since watching Meeting people the first time. I really remember thinking that they wouldn't last due to all the pressure and stupid questions. Better title Meeting reporters sucks.

I'm not going to add anything that hasn't already been said most eloquently by others. I am just grateful to the many young and old voters that returned specifically for this election, to the process that makes them active participants in our nations electoral process. I hope they remember in any victory, no one person succeeds alone, and continue to show up for their nation by being active participants in their communities. Volunteering was everything it should be and then some... makes me sorry it took so long to show up to the party, but as a dear friend reminded me, everyone shows up on their own time and usually its when they are needed most. Thanks for welcoming me so graciously, Campaign for Change. I hope the opportunity to show up when it matters happens sooner than later. The streets were a little nicer and hope was shared. Thanks for a fleeting moment that gave me much pride in strangers and hope for a better future for all.Peace

yes, it has actually happened!!! Perhaps (quoting Sarah Silverman), we will STOP being the "ASSHOLES OF THE UNIVERSE"!So, we looked out of the window when it just started - hours ago... And the Empire State Building was lit BLUE - all three sections... Normally, it's broken into three colors - but it was BRIGHT BLUE.At 11PM CNN CALLED IT - when the polls in California, Oregon, Washington closed - and we stepped out to the balcony - and there was a STEADY SCREAM, ecstatic scream over Manhattan, and clapping - and so we clapped, and we screamed - and we still feel it is totally surreal.I cannot - and should not - blog now, I've been getting 3-4 hrs of sleep/night for several nights in a row... I'm making no sense.Let's hope we get better - we have been SO DISEASED...Ok now, Obama is speaking, I'll listen.love ya all. ;-)P.S. 40 min later: on the ways home, I saw groups of people wearing shiny silly 'Happy New Year' hats ...
