anybodies carpooling to st. louis this next week for radiohead?????
Tour (57)
I just saw that Radiohead planed to do a show in Montreal on June 15th at Bell Center and I'm sooooo excited about this! I saw on the Radiohead website that there will be a presale for W.A.S.T.E. members on march 8th. Does someone know how the presale thing works?
thanks !
I recently purchased tickets for the Seattle show during the presale. This is my first time purchasing the tickets through the waste website (first Radiohead experience). It seems legit. However, I read that this is a paperless ticket tour, yet waste mails you your tickets. For those that have purchased tickets from here and have attended the recent paperless ticket shows, how will this work when the show date actually arrives? I paid a lot for these and I don't want to get to the show and realize I can't use the tickets due to the fact that it specifically says its a paperless tour. I read somewhere that there are sometimes entrances for waste tickets holders. Probably a silly question for most of you, and I'm probably reading too far into this, but I would like some answers please. Thanks.

Hey guys,
My friend and I were trying to get tickets to the Broomfield show in CO on March 13th, and we waited in line outside the venue for over an hour. It sold out 6 people in front of us. We are super bummed and tickets are already going for $200. Let us know if you have any extra or can help us out because we both need tickets. Trying to avoid the stupid bullshit with scalpers. Thanks

I was able to get my floor ticket to Miami. The wife has not liked the last 2 albums so only got 1 ticket but now my brother wants to fly down from North Carolina. We are from Oxford and have been in the US for 20 years and cringe everytime my 2 other brothers tell us about watching Radiohead play Oxford's South Park for free in 2001.
if anyone has an extra Miami ticket or if plans have changed, i'd be interested.
If there were 2 tickets one of my other brothers might be interested in flying over from Oxford to see the show too, so 2 ticket options would be considered too.
cheers
I can't wait.

"Like an itchy character in a Stephen King novel, Thom Yorke keeps coming back. This time, he spoke with Rolling Stone, where he laid one bombshell piece of news: Radiohead will record in December and January.
“We can get things together quite rapidly at the moment,” Yorke said, name dropping a new track titled “Come to Your Senses”. “We have this version of it. It’s a five-minute rehearsal, but it has the essence of what we need.” He stated they have a “few of those”, and added, “It would be fun to have them ready when we go to play next year. I don’t know how we would release them. It would be nice to make it all part of the flow and just enjoy it – not think about it too much.”
Speaking of touring, Yorke explained that putting the The King of Limbs material on-stage was harder than they imagined. He digressed on working with additional drummer Clive Deamer, adding: “In ‘Bloom,’ when Clive goes from the electro pads to the live kit, and my guitar shoots up an octave, I’m like, ‘Wow!’ When we came up with that, it was like, ‘OK, we got it.’” Deamer is a crucial key in bringing Limbs‘ lush recordings to life, but also one of the reasons the band hasn’t toured yet, due to his commitments with Portishead. As Radiohead’s manager Chris Hufford explained, “He wasn’t available and it’s why we couldn’t go out on tour until next year.”
On the topic of Atoms for Peace, Yorke insisted that there will be an LP before the end of the year, though he also added, “It’s not good enough yet.” The magazine reached Nigel Godrich for comment, who reiterated, “The idea was to generate the music, then record the band. We did that. Some of it worked. We also went back to some of the electronic stuff. It’s still in flux. We’re waiting for the lightning bolt to strike.”
So to recap: Radiohead will record in two months, Radiohead will tour next year, and Atoms for Peace will put out a record. Okay, now are you happy?"

Or I can listen to some music and escape the melange of self-induced life dilemmas. On the bright side, I got to see Thom Yorke/Atoms for Peace the second night in Oakland, and I'm quite sure that this experience changed my life. Being in the midst of all that exciting energy between artists and fans felt like I was truly at peace and at home--if home were a state of mind, of course. Now back to writing about civil society.
