Here's our FINALIZED/UPGRADED cover of True Love Waits by Radiohead/Thom Yorke. All vocals were done by me and all guitars were played by my dad and other instruments were programmed by him. Interestingly, he also added a string section to our cover, so it's more like a 'full band version'. Hope you like it! This is one of my favourite songs ever.

"Like an itchy character in a Stephen King novel, Thom Yorke keeps coming back. This time, he spoke with Rolling Stone, where he laid one bombshell piece of news: Radiohead will record in December and January.

“We can get things together quite rapidly at the moment,” Yorke said, name dropping a new track titled “Come to Your Senses”. “We have this version of it. It’s a five-minute rehearsal, but it has the essence of what we need.” He stated they have a “few of those”, and added, “It would be fun to have them ready when we go to play next year. I don’t know how we would release them. It would be nice to make it all part of the flow and just enjoy it – not think about it too much.”

Speaking of touring, Yorke explained that putting the The King of Limbs material on-stage was harder than they imagined. He digressed on working with additional drummer Clive Deamer, adding: “In ‘Bloom,’ when Clive goes from the electro pads to the live kit, and my guitar shoots up an octave, I’m like, ‘Wow!’ When we came up with that, it was like, ‘OK, we got it.’” Deamer is a crucial key in bringing Limbs‘ lush recordings to life, but also one of the reasons the band hasn’t toured yet, due to his commitments with Portishead. As Radiohead’s manager Chris Hufford explained, “He wasn’t available and it’s why we couldn’t go out on tour until next year.”

On the topic of Atoms for Peace, Yorke insisted that there will be an LP before the end of the year, though he also added, “It’s not good enough yet.” The magazine reached Nigel Godrich for comment, who reiterated, “The idea was to generate the music, then record the band. We did that. Some of it worked. We also went back to some of the electronic stuff. It’s still in flux. We’re waiting for the lightning bolt to strike.”

So to recap: Radiohead will record in two months, Radiohead will tour next year, and Atoms for Peace will put out a record. Okay, now are you happy?"

So you're probably all familiar with the infamous vagabond Thom Yorke, and I'm sure many of you look up to him as a brilliant songwriter and musician.

Now most people would think this is a trivial matter, and I should really be devoting my time to more useful things like finding a cure for cancer, getting involved in charity work or improving my life in any shape or form.

However, as I was casually browsing deadairspace, as you do, I came across this.

'its about time you showed up for work'

This of course was written by Mr Yorke himself. There isn't an apostrophe in sight! Never mind the fact that the full stop seems to be missing. Isn't the 'I' in 'its' supposed to be capitalised?

His singing voice, his song-writing genius... It all counts for nothing. How can we trust the word of a man who can't even use the correct punctuation.

My solution?

Let's all watch reruns of X Factor instead.

With seven studio albums with his band and one solo album, the ‘diminutive in size but monumental in status’ singer took to stage in front of a capacity crowd.

Playing at least one song from each album (excluding, Pablo Honey), the Oxford legend began with three tracks from The Eraser, his 2006 solo album. Self titled ‘The Eraser’ kicked things off before Global Warming warning ‘The Clock’. The “angriest song I’ve ever written”, ‘Harrowdown Hill’, about the death of scientist David Kelly followed before Radiohead tracks old and new.

The old came in the form of The Bends opener ‘Planet Telex’ stripped down to a piano and vocals only performance. Amnesiac’s ‘I Might Be Wrong’ and ‘Everything In It’s Right Place’ from Kid A were given an incredible welcome from an awestruck crowd, as was ‘The Gloaming’ from Hail To The Thief.

Smoke swept across the stage as ‘Reckoner’ brought the set bang up to date before Thom started looping a vocal of “Don’t Hurt Me” through an acoustic driven track. The hushed silence meant only one thing, confirmed by the singer, “That was a new Radiohead song”. Six words to warm the hearts of music fans the world over.

The audience was sent back in time to 1997 with the closer, an incredible acoustic version of ‘Airbag’ from OK Computer.

As Thom Yorke left the stage, a mass of happy smiley faces contemplated what is easily one of the highlights of this festival year.

¿Qué clase de problemas crees que deberían ser los mas importantes a abordar por los jóvenes hoy en día?
Oh, en verdad no me siento calificado como para responder eso…

Me gustaría pensar que están extremadamente preocupados por el cambio climático.

Me gustaría pensar que están preocupados por la caída de una clase política que no les representa y que sólo vela por sus propios intereses.

Me gustaría pensar que están molestos por la influencia de las grandes corporaciones sobre las decisiones políticas y la constante mierda de Relaciones Públicas que pueden escupir.

Me gustaría pensar que están preocupados de heredar un sistema económico que se mantiene en pie como se hace con la torre de Pisa.

Me gustaría pensar que ven la incapacidad de esta generación para ejecutar los cambios necesarios como corresponde.

Me gustaría pensar que realmente no creen que facebook y twitter son mejores que sentarse en un bosque al anochecer a escuchar los sonidos.

¿Cómo te manejas para recolectar estadísticas e informarte sobre los problemas que más te preocupan y qué consejo le darías a los jóvenes para que elaboren su propia forma de pensamiento crítico y comenzar a indagar?
Las estadísticas se pueden usar y abusar. He estado en debates donde quienes niegan el cambio climático lanzan estadísticas que nadie oyó jamás y sobre las cuales no tienes tiempo para verificar, desviando la posibilidad de cualquier debate constructivo. ¡Qué útil! Las estadísticas son el arma favorita de las firmas de Relaciones Públicas y los diarios. El cambio climático es un tema particularmente movedizo porque hay tanta ciencia detrás y es un tema demasiado emotivo con gente desesperada para que les digan que no es verdad. Esto me recuerda a las alianzas rurales que sostenían que el 80% creía en la caza o lo que sea que decían esos stickers en sus autos. Sí. Claro. Y el 80% cree que las range rovers nunca vieron algo de lodo insignificante.

¿Qué consejos le darías a los representantes jóvenes sobre cómo usar el lenguaje para representar mejor sus campañas?
Trata de mantener tu sentido del humor.

Trata de mantener cierta creencia en el sentido común de los demás y trata de respetar sus puntos de vista por lo menos lo suficiente como para encontrar hoyos en ellos.

No te conviertas en una granjera de viento inglesa de clase media-alta que cree que Dios está de su lado mientras utiliza rabia indignación prejuicios e ignorancia.

Recuerda que el trabajo de los Miembros del Parlamento es escucharte. No tienen otra opción.

Oh, y consigue algo de arte simpático.

¿Qué consejos le darías a los jóvenes que quieren escribir letras que hagan una diferencia para el mundo?

Que no hay nada más seco y aburrido en el arte que la política. Tiene que fermentarse y destilarse. Tiene que ser personal. Tiene que ser la ligereza del tacto. Tiene mucho más que ver con cómo haces las cosas, tu estado mental y menos con las palabras en la página.

¿Qué consejo le darías a los jóvenes músicos que quieren hacer una diferencia con su talento?
Esta es para Ed en Radiohead… esta es su obsesión. Cuando hablamos de ello él dice que es sólo una cuestión de tiempo -más de meses que de años- antes que estas franquicias se quiebren por completo. Está involucrado en tratar de construir un mundo en el que los artistas finalmente reciban un pago. Pero estamos contra los intereses proteccionistas de esa industria. Hoy en día están haciendo un lobby para llevarse todo el dinero ellos solos mientras sostienen que protegen los intereses de sus artistas. ¿Ah sí? Cuando la industria coporativa muera no será una gran pérdida para el mundo. Así que creo que podría aconsejarles no amarrarse a un barco hundiéndose porque, créanme, se está hundiendo.

¿Qué clase de acciones informadas y responsables crees que podrían ser las más efectivas para ser creadas por alguien o involucrarse en ellas?

Bueno, la violencia siempre te llama. Siempre vas a tener monos en grandes protestas, quienes están molestos o simplemente buscando una pelea. Pero eso juega a favor de las manos de quienes están en tu contra. Y hoy en día las tácticas policiales no necesariamente ayudan. Eventos que tengan mordacidad. Que se burlan de la situación. Que exponen y ridiculizan… sin ira y con poco juicio. Y es más probable que consigas prensa favorable a partir de ello. Contacto cara a cara. Ese sentido de tener algo en común entre la gente cuando se reúnen.

¿Qué clase obstáculos crees que los jóvenes que buscan un cambio pueden encontrarse en el camino y cómo crees que puedan sobrellevarlos?

Que la gente cada vez encuentra las cosas más y más difíciles en la medida en que son absorbidos en sus propias vidas y terminan viendo cómo todo pudo ser diferente. Requiere energía. También requiere que a uno se le ocurran las cosas por ellos. Nada se puede hacer si es que antes no lo has visualizado. El trabajo de los otros es hacértelo difícil. Los lobbyistas postrados en Portcullis House y Westminster, por ejemplo.

También se nos ha criado -desde Thatcher, creo- a creer en que la voz comunal está políticamente muerta. Que somos animales atomizados… egoístas. El mayor obstáculo a cambiar es siempre la creencia condicionada de que estamos solos, con miedo, sin poder como en una pesadilla Kafkiana. Muy conveniente si estás a cargo de Tescos o BP, ¿verdad?

¿De qué manera la tecnología del Siglo 21 hace una diferencia para el mundo de un joven y cómo crees que se puede utilizar para llegar a un cambio?

Ofrece la oportunidad de compartir información y pasar por alto los medios tradicionales, pero creo que la nube de información y semi-relaciones con los otros por la red puede ser una ilusión, o mas bien una distracción peligrosa. No es bueno para la mente estar constantemente en otro lado… o creer que por publicar cosas en internet ya estás cambiando algo. Me pregunto cuánta de esta tecnología es una total pérdida de tiempo y energía. ¿Que sólo llenamos porque está ahí? Y cuyo retorno es que alimenta aún más nuestro sentido de aislamiento y la creencia en que no podemos cambiar nada. Es más probable que pararse junto a otros en una marcha por la ciudad sobre algo que realmente te importa haga un efecto profundo sobre cómo ves el mundo.

¿Cuál es tu principal consejo para los jóvenes de hoy que quieren hacer una diferencia en su mundo?

Hazlo ahora que eres joven, mientras está claro en tu mente, mientras la energía esté ahí lista para utilizarse… antes que te enmarañes en la red de responsabilidades y complicaciones de la vida que te agarra desprevenida. Por ejemplo… ¿es mucho más fácil arriesgarte a que te arresten si no tienes hijos? ¡Ja-ja!
