Its been 3-years, but Icelandic collective, Sigur Ros is back in the studio conjuring up their sixth LP [to be released sometime next year]. Word on the [frozen] streets is this album will be 'floaty and minimal'.
Sounds good. Time to get some bubble bath!
The group are currently promoting INNI, a live album and concert film, recorded in London in 2008. But the new album has been kept secret, quietly developing over the last few years. In the interim, three band members had children and singer Jónsi Birgisson recorded a solo album, an instrumental record, and a forthcoming film soundtrack [although to be honest the dude's brain is a living soundtrack].
After touring solo, Birgisson told the Wall Street Journal:
"it was like coming home to see the guys again. It felt natural."
...Aw, thats sweet.

Believe it or not, Axl Rose [who is looking remarkably like Indiana Jone's love child with Criss Angel] is hitting the road again with the help of some new young 'Guns.' As the only original member of Guns N' Roses, it his duty [of course] to promote his new aptly named tour, "Appetite For Reunion." However, we are still talking about Axl here...so you sorta have to take what you can get.
Showing up only a mere 15 hours late to a taping of VH1 Classic’s That Metal Show, it officially marked Axl Rose’s first interview in five years, and the first televised one in over a decade. The GN’R frontman sat down with Eddie Trunk, Don Jamieson, and Jim Florentine backstage in Miami, and discussed things like Chinese Democracy‘s legacy, Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame eligibility, and the ’91 tour Axl only agreed to because his manager told him if he didn’t perform Slash would overdose on heroin.

I have two GA tickets to the Phoenix show but I would like to trade them for 2 seats, as long as they are in a good area. I like the GA tickets but my wife does not. She likes having a seat and not having to deal with a sea of people. Let me know.

I managed to get 2 tickets in section 118, row F, seats 5 and 6. So they're pretty damn close. I'm interested in moving one or two sections out from the stage though. If you have seats in sections 117, 116, 102, or 103, let me know. I'm assuming we can just exchange our ticket receipts once we enter the show.
I tried to get ADA tickets for the Colorado shows and 20 seconds into my search they were gone. Something is wrong when someone with Cancer cant get tickets. The scalpers took the show hope they have fun milking ppl for every cent they have.
In the time of changing season
All leaves fall, not evergreen
Friends left shared no reason
True friends stay, have always been
Joy with you hence plenty pleasant
Memories left, be my evergreen
So long, my friends
...all my love
and why was this show the only show on ticket horse? all the others were available through ticketmaster? something fishy....
So we were all very excited to hear our favorites were coming to town. So much in fact that everyone tried to get a ticket as soonm as they went on sale. WITHIN 20 SECONDS THE SCALPER COMPANY'S GOT THE ALL!! NOW THEY ARE CHRGING UP TO 6X THE FACE VALUE!!! The people here are not happy and would like to see something done about it. Please sombody HELP!! I have been a fan from the get go but i refuse to be taken for $600 to see a concert.

If anyone's up right now, there are still tickets available for St. Louis Not sure how good the seats are, but it's all about being there right? And if you're not in St. Louis but still want tix - take the $$ you're going to fork over to a scalper and spend it on a trip to St. Louis! Southwest Airlines is even having a sale right now! That's what I'd do if I needed tickets... (and now I don't work for Southwest. Or have any self-interest in this whatsoever, beyond wanting to help out fellow fans.)
found great deal on a hotel for the Kansas city show 52 a night at the ramada its about a 20 min cab ride from the venue
For those of you that purchased through w.a.s.t.e. for the presale, what's that "dispatch email" line all about at the bottom of the Order Tracking screen? I purchased 2 more tickets on Friday for the St. Louis show that were reserved seats, but I haven't gotten an email as to which seats they are. I've already emailed w.a.s.t.e. last night, but I haven't received a response. I'll give it until Monday I guess.
Anyhow, just wondering what that line's all about. Any guesses?
does anyone know if the whole floor is just first come first serve with GA tickets? or is it divided into sections? i'm thinking i'm gonna be waiting all day in line to get up close!
