Holding Silent
the story of her life
is such that it has no real beginning
a child thrown into adulthood
still treated like a child
abandoned and reclaimed
altered and unnoticed
The words were never spoken
no one ever asked
decades pass and they forget
she carries the nightmares, alone
it is time that it unfolds for all
time for the ugly to be shared
and room to be made for better things
now that it is time, there is no telling
there is no tale
beginning where, as a child
at the tragedy, after the pain?
it must be told,
it is her story
but the words won't come

The allergy came on rather fast and strong, usually I start taking heavy medication at the first sign but this time it took me by surprise. Now I am poisoning myself with a cocktail of antihistamines, cortisone and various cough suppressant, and still cannot sleep, although the Telfast is making me even more tired. I just have to wait until the meds in my blood stream built up to a certain level before they start kicking in.
On the plus side: the mixture of meds and allergic reactions raging through my body thoroughly managed to kill my appetite.
Speaking of sleep, I really would like to have this bed: (Preferably with a mosquito net for a curtain. Cave girl wants her cave.)

Robert McChesney And John Nichols: Saving Journalism
07/15/2010 at 8:00 p.m.
American journalism is collapsing, and that puts our entire democracy at risk. That's the message that Robert McChesney and John Nichols brought to Seattle earlier this year. The two media watchers point to the mass closure of foreign news bureaus, the folding of major US newspapers like the Seattle P–I, and the consolidation of commercial broadcast stations across the country. They quote the founding fathers, who believed a robust fourth estate was critical to a free nation.
But McChesney and Nichols aren't all doom and gloom. They offer some bold new solutions to the problem, including government subsidies for news organizations and a move away from the strictly for–profit business model.
Robert McChesney is a professor in the Department of Communication at the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign. John Nichols is the Washington correspondent for The Nation. Together they co–founded the media reform network Free Press, and their latest book is "The Death and Life of American Journalism: The Media Revolution that Will Begin the World Again."
McChesney and Nichols spoke at Town Hall Seattle on January 19, 2010.

Enveloped in the heat of you
Your heart beats within me
As we lie enmeshed and still
Basking in love's quintessence
In lavender hues of beautiful.
Tired eyes renewed by the splendor.
As it stretches to peer over the horizon,
The sun grins Good Morning.
As I bid Good Night
You thought I was punctual
Leaving last to be your ear and use your shoulder
You thought I just hated to go home
Open affection to start every occasion
You thought I was your freedom
No judging and true words defined us
You thought we were being honest
Hero and heroine saving each other
You thought it was enough
Twisted words and broken spirit
You never noticed the change
Side by side and lifelong promises
You swore you would never lie
Above all else...the truth
You were wrong
trying not to be hypocrite.
trying to be honest.
straightforward.true.
what is all this?how did this all happen?
what now?
waves of time past crushing my head.
trying not to panic.
trying not to flee.
trying to stay me.
The world a man of the town of Neguá, in the coast of Colombia, could raise the high sky. To the return, it counted. It said that it had contemplated, from there above, the human life. And it said that we are a sea of fire . The world is that — revealed —. A pile of people, a fire sea. Each person shines with own light between all the others. There are not two equal fires. There are great fires and small fires and fires of all the colors. There is people of calm fire, who nor find out the wind, and crazy fire people, that fill the air of sparks. Some stupid fires, fires, do not illuminate nor burn; but others burn the life with so many desire that cannot be watched them without blinking, and that approaches, it ignites.
