THE INFO PARADIGM

If humans' developed brains are a great cellar of information, what to do with all this info? all the memories and sentiments and impressions and colors and sounds? Well, does that make any difference at all? who knows?
The power of today is based on info. This is my point or the point I`m trying to make! INFO is the key and we have lots of it. Actually, we have more than we can endure or, even, store, maybe?!? We have so much info nowadays we don't even find use for all of it. We can't process all info at the same speed it is produced. Furthermore, we don't know what to do with so much information. The more info we have the worse our understanding of it becomes. Actually, it becomes meaningless. There is so much info we can't address any meaning to it!
Well, that is not completely true, right? Because, I know and you know that some info, they're just different! It is to be guarded and preserved, NOT SHARED. It is a privilege of some, not because it is special but because these people know what to do with it! It has a meaning to them. It probably is not a great secret or a secret at all. But, still you need to know what it is for, so that you can truly understand its meaning. It's a hierarchy of meaning.
Sociologists often observe the cruel distortions in the division of power amongst societies and have pointed out the obvious paradigm of the involvement of all parts in the society constitution and maintenance.
In order to establish a suitable model of society we have to understand it and participate in it. That implies learning about it, getting involved, and so on. But most people don't want to know everything about all things. They actually feel relieved if somebody could take care of some things for them. That's when protagonism takes over! A few dedicated interested individuals take lead of the situation and, suddenly, power arises.
For centuries, we, humans, have circled around this paradigm, the info. Power has been guided by privileged info.
in times of war -strategic, tactical, military info;
in times of production: inovation, technology, industrial info;
in times of capitalism, consumers, market, trends, capital info; and
in times of globalization, info is lossing its meaning.
Humans have evolved to become intellectuals with LOTS OF INFO but LITTLE INTELLIGENTZIA. The more info humans produce the more they realize they're unable to consume it all and thus most of it is unnecessary. OVERSHARING! Specific info is relevant, but not all info. We need to learn how to filter, screening. Or not!
Just to cite an example, let's take the the social network boom of the 21st century. Orkut, blogs, photologs, myspace, facebook, youtube and so on. Many of these spaces have become virtual info triggering devices for human kind. In these frameworks, people are sharing more than just info. In fact, the info they're sharing is one the least important part of the network. That is why one may find the most absurd declarations, grammar errors, trivial and personal information in these social network websites. Most people that subscribe to this social networks have no commitment with quality of info, reliability of the info, grammar reviews or anything. So, what's the point?
The truth is, this info doesn't matter. It makes no difference. ONE, because they're meant to be like this, just pointless remarks on the virtual web, a twit. And TWO, because most info that makes a difference is not accessible by the internet anyhow, it's not free for download!
Sorry to break it down for you like this, but for a good researcher info is really hard to find, reliable info especially. Sometimes, you need to go back in terms of technology and search for papers and people.
Still, I find it truly interesting how the society of today has found in the internet an outlet to get into the virtual globalized world. Maybe that is why it doesn't have any meaning!

Hi There; a little 'bout me

Hi everyone;.thank you for your comments, I really appreciate them all. I'll do a quick(or not so quick) introduction of who am I and what I do.
First of all,I'm 16 years old, 17 in less than a month. I am a Mexican about to enter into my last year of High School. I have been interested in photography since middle school, and I took a photography class in my middle school(it was quite a filler class). My teacher told me that I was... how to say it... not quite the worst but one of the worsts with a camera, but even so I still took another optative course in my Highschool, There I focused more in editing images. Since I acknowledged my own lackness in the use of the camera; I wanted to edit the outcome. It was a surprise when I realized that I had improved(not that much but something) and that editing was very interesting mainly because I am not exactly sure how they are going to end but I'm sure of what I want to do and having an open mind there is a lot you can do with a couple of photos.

I also try to get some writting skills and so that's why I try to write some stories about many things I have in my mind or even things that have happened to me; for instance I'm working in the worst kind of dream I have: When I dream I cannot sleep. I know its quite odd but it happens when I'm really anxious. Usually it takes almost all night for me to sleep, but when I get to sleep I don't notice so in my dream I'm still trying to sleep. There are a lot of outcomes it can have as a story but usually it goes like this for me: I oversleep and get late to the important event of the next day or I close my eyes when the dream is about to end and I am about to wake up.

This summer I'm doing working with this project of my blog http://cnlser.blogspot.com/ where I put my photography and texts, also I'm taking German lessons(I'm barely at the beginning of them).

Now into Radiohead. I can remember when I first heard Paranoid Android, about five years ago(time flies); since then I fell in love with Radiohead. Thom Yorke has become one of my biggest interests, because his personality, his work, everything about him. Radiohead has become one of my most heard bands and one of my personal favourites.

Hope my English is good enough to be understood and my writting good enough to be read.

Until the next blog entry.

MY LYRICS (for Apostrophe)

APOSTROPHE

what goes down must grow up

keep plugging stuff in

no light makes one stupid

the moon is there for kicks

without you i can't help myself

your train must be loading

i can't do this stuff alone

for real i am alone and

none of us are home yet

without you i can't help myself

without you i can't help

my cell

my cell

my cell

my cell

stop all your laughing and

quit all your calculus

now

with a jelly and a sandwich

i'll be on my way back home

without shoes or a footprint

i'll be waiting at my house

don't ask for less

you will lose

and

without you i can't help myself

MY LYRICS (for Boyblue)

BOYBLUE

little boy

picked up a hat

up off the floor

he handed it to me he said

"you forgot it"

he went out to the beach

down to the shore

looked out at the ocean

he said

"big deal"

so put me up

up on a pole

up on a pole in your room

where i can be

a stick in the mud

just a stick in the mud

so...

1, 2, 3

let's try to make a mess outta me

1, 2, 3

let's try to make amends

little boy

little boy blue

little boy blue

it all falls on you now

so marry my girl

i said just marry me girl

with a big white horse

and a big oysta pearl

"see ya around"

i said "i'll see ya around"

so just shrug your shoulders

and fall to the ground now

so...

1, 2, 3

let's try to make a mess outta me

1, 2, 3

let's try to make a mess outta me

1, 2, 3

you grab my arms and you hang onto my legs

1, 2, 3

let's try to split me into

1, 2, 3

something you didn't recognize now you

1, 2, 3

watch the ball drop

it's a new year for everyone

so just

splash into the sky
